  1. My worst day was day 5. I felt very similar to what you explained. I got through it, knowing that the craves past. Those feeling past too. I stayed busy, drank juice, ate often and exercised. I was not able to focus on much. I was in work, trying to type reports and did not accomplish much, but got through it. The second week for me was better. Like people have said, each quit is different, so do what you can to make it through the craves. Not One Puff Ever- this will help so much. You can do this and your body will adjust to it's new normal. You will feel so much more healthy. You are doing great.
  2. Ladybug, you are too funny. Can you come over and give that speech to my husband. I have not pestered him either but if someone else did, maybe that would work ;) .
  3. Glad all that is over for you Action. I am sure you will sleep well tonight. Anxiety really wears me out. I believe that if it was something serious, they would have sent you for more tests right away. When I had a situation going on, the radiologist told me she had to call the Dr. before I left. Then a Dr. came in and talked to me. So that should give you peace of mind. I know the waiting is difficult, but at least the testing is over. Keep us posted, you have many friends here that care.

  7. It is normal to feel anxious before testing. People have these tests all the time- smokers and non-smokers. Sending positive thoughts your way. As for the dentist- be glad you are getting it over with. On the positive side, you don't have to go back for six months. :)
  8. This is great, Ladybug!
  9. Rain, I am so sorry for your friend. It is so hard standing back and waiting for them to realize that quitting is doable. I am sure you are a good friend and that is what everyone needs. Thanks for sharing your story. This is what helps everyone.
  10. Good post Colleen. So many things are related to smoking. Just to add more: sleep disorders, cataracts, sense of smell and taste buds to name a few. And if you have inherited medical conditions like diabetes and smoke it causes many more significant complications. I am so happy that your feet are improving Doreen.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
