  1. I went to several doctors, they all tell me that I'm perfect, blood tests all perfect, I was smoking 40 a day, I'm 38 years old, I smoked for 24 years, it's true I can't wait 30 days to feel excellent, I'm doing 30 minute walks all the days, eating more fiber, drinking a lot of water, the issue is patience and more patience ... thanks
  2. I completely understand you tell me, it is difficult, I really miss the cigarette, I will keep waiting to see how good it makes me quit smoking, I just have to be patient, maybe vaping or what, I'm sure I'm going to regret it. always grateful for your responses, it's great to be able to talk to someone who knows how you feel
  3. Hello everyone, I have been 1 month without smoking, walking every day for 30 minutes, it has also been difficult I also have reflux that burns my throat, my question is when you start to see the benefits of having quit smoking. I have not been able to enjoy them so far. honestly the reflux appeared when I quit smoking. throat clearing, postnasal drip, this has been hell, so far quitting has only brought me trouble
  4. You are excellent people, thank you very much for your words, I will be patient
  5. The full story is like this, I quit smoking in March for fear of covid, a week later I began to clear my throat, I never had a cough, I managed to go 2 months without smoking but the clearance did not go away, I decided to smoke again to see if It disappeared, I smoked 3 or 4 cigarettes a day for 3 days then I left it for a week, then I went back to smoking 1 or 2 a day, then I stopped, I have been like this for 2 months, I only smoked out of desperation to get rid of that tickle in my throat, I went from 40 cigarettes a day to 0 in 24 hours, I think it was a mistake, I have lived like this for the last 6 months, it has been horrible ... now I am decided not to smoke permanently, I am with a treatment for post nasal drip , and according to the otolaryngologist I also have reflux, never suffered from the flu while smoking, any advice apart from patience?
  6. I went to the doctor he told me there was no serious problem, but my throat always feels strange, I suppose that I will have to wait for it to heal by itself
  7. Thanks You very much for Yours words i Will keep on the road of quitting,
  8. Hello everyone, let me tell you, since the second week I suffered from daily throat clearing for 3 weeks, and I still suffer from it, also from post nasal drip, everything appeared when I stopped smoking, someone who has gone through the same, how long suffered it? it's maddening

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
