  1. Thank you Jillar. I appreciate it.
  2. Hate to keep bothering you but did it work this time?
  3. The ticker still keeps going back to 1990 but my profile is now set at 8/4/20. Sorry, it's all I have to work with here.
  4. I did it. Is it showing up on yours as 8/4/20?
  5. I only have phone access. No home computer. I changed the date on my profile but the ticker keeps going back to 1990. Any suggestions on how to do it on my phone?
  6. I am quitting today and reset my ticker. Also, does my ticker show my new date? On my phone it keeps going back to 1990.
  7. I didn't want to lie about it but I smoked this morning. Before anyone gets mad, I know I should've used SOS. All I can do is start over and change my ticket. I do not want to continue smoking because it will only get worse. Also, going to lay off coffee for awhile.
  8. Congratulations Michelle. That's awesome!
  9. Nope. 10 days down.
  10. Doing better today. Staying cool and dog sitting for my sister. It is getting a little easier each day but still coughing up junk.
  11. Way to go, Linda!
  12. Thank you, Jillar. I will.
  13. I usually start getting the strong cravings around days 6-7, so I am staying close to this group. Like I said yesterday, the craving usually lasts 5-10 minutes tops. One day at a time and sometimes one minute at a time. It will get up to 100 degrees here for the next few days, so I will be indoors a lot. I will probably clean my room and do some coloring and maybe practice some guitar. I want to keep my quit. I am truly grateful for everyone here for the support. I am understanding more and more each day what a powerful addiction nicotine is.
  14. I am doing well. I had an urge this morning, but it passed in 5 minutes. I walked down to get iced coffee and came straight back to the house and steered clear of the convenience store. I already know that if I smoke one, it'll turn into 3-5 and then more. I also don't want that shame and stench anymore. I will keep checking in everyday. I am proud that I allowed my urge to pass and that I didn't have to act on it.
  15. Thank you everyone here for your support. It means a lot!
  16. Other than coughing up a bunch of junk from my lungs, I feel pretty good. Been wanting to sleep more. My body is thanking me for not putting any more poison in it.
  17. It has been a little shaky, but I didn't have a smoke. That is a huge accomplishment for me.
  18. I know that I will be a happier person and not be afraid of people if I stay quit.
  19. Thanks. I was just filling it out now ironically.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
