  9. Ok, I'm game. 1. I have been traveled to 14 countries 2. I have 2 dogs 3. I once fell into the pond while walking backwards away from the (golf) hole
  10. I don't know about anyone else, but when I read through all the posts in this thread and all the things that people had to do (or avoided to do) when they were still smoking, I was just kept on shaking my head because all of those were me, me, me, me, me.... Gosh, it's shocking to see how inconvenience my life was in the last 40 years!
  11. That's great Michelle, I'm happy for you. I still remember how I could felt my heart beating hard like a marching drum every time I took a drag. I'm sure like every other smoker, deep down inside I knew it was killing me but the stupid addict in me ignored all the signs. I haven't measured lately but I'm sure my heart rate & blood pressure is much better than before.

  16. SJ, Quit smoking is the best thing you can do for your health so I congratulate you for that great decision you made. The amount of information you can google on is quite overwhelming, but education on smoking will help you quit much easier, please take your time to read through the materials Sazerac and Doreen posted, and when you have time, go through the sticky posts in the Discussions forum. Most importantly, stay close to this forum and keep posting with any questions you may have, and please post an SOS whenever you need help to overcome the cravings, you'll find tremendous support from members here. Like you, we're all Nicotine addicts and we're all riding this train to freedom, now that you got onboard, stay and enjoy the journey. John

  20. Nice to hear about responsible businesses following the guidelines. Last week there was a spike in cases here in Ontario which started from a nail salon which seemed to be a case of negligence according to their customers - no disinfection of stations after each customer, overcrowded with no social distancing, etc. Those business owners should be fined as they're contributing to the unnecessary spread of the virus. If I was a customer there I would just walk out.
  21. I would say St.Catharines is more of a city that has everything a big city offers, but without the crazy traffic compared to the GTA area. I rarely go to Brampton and I hated it every time I had to go there, this city is way overcrowded without the proper infrastructure to support the explosion of population there in the last few years, good move Reci.
  22. Wow, 7 years of freedom is an inspiration! Congratulations Nancy!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
