  18. Hi AK, I'm so glad that your giving it an honest go of quitting. You can't get any better advice than from theses 2 people. I'm still early in my quit as well but it definitely helps to be on this site more often and get involved. The daily NOPE (not one puff ever) pledge is another good thing as well. Take all the help and support from this site to heart. Everyone has been through this liberating journey that you have decided embark on. They know what to expect and how to combat the pitfalls. Hang tough, you're not alone in this struggle.

  25. My plan was to give up smoking and try to live a little healthier. It wasn't easy for the first couple of days but I was committed. I thought about how I wanted to make sure I got to see my niece and nephew grow up. I guess what I'm saying is that you have to first be committed to the quit. Plus, have long term goals that you can focus on to help keep you on the right path. Add a good support system and that's a good start to a quality quit.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
