  1. Hello QT People, I am struggling and have avoided using this train out of guilt and shame. Ridiculousness upon ridiculousness. Please advise how to delete my ticker. My frustration level with figuring out how to do it is sad , would be funny, if I wasn't trying to accomplish saving my life. I will choose to go without a ticker until I have 30 days-ish- grateful the ticker will back date. I just want to feel comfortable Being "here" and can't spend head space in what I gave away. I wouldn't even allow myself to lurk and read. Such is the level of my wobbliness in my ability and willingness. Looking forward to catching the train. Hoping I find my way aboard. Welcome and yahoo to everyone aboard. Please remain seated as catching the rain again can be a mental and emotional battle. Pretty simple in practice. Do not put anything in your mouth and light it on fire. No matter what. What is it I am telling myself these killers are doing for me? benefits 0%= deficits 100% thanks for all this site provides for all who are able and wiling to utilize it.

  6. Hello People, bunnies, dogs, cats, too Just saying aloud, I am struggling. Keeping busy helps. It is when I am tired and/or down mentally or emotionally that there is only a thin veneer of NOPE. Grateful to be quit. Having trouble shaking the belief I had prior to picking up again. The one that said," This is your sticky quit. I don't have another come back in me." Anyway, thanks for hearing my struggle. Hoping your day brings many opportunities for belly laughing and sharing with those you hold dear.

  13. Hello Mamabear, Glad to see time has rolled on and here you are, ... seated on the Quit Train. The freedom is delightful, right? No more: planning, hiding, de-stinking (as if that actually worked anyway), apologizing ....just LIVING the life you WANT. Glad you are finding your way, Yay YOU!
  14. Thanks to all for the acknowledgement and support. Slept most of yesterday and cleaning and dancing this morning. Planning on swimming later today. it is the self doubt that is the struggle. I choose to believe. grateful this site is here and all of you are here,

  18. Hello Everyone, I am Darcy and currently hugely enjoying living in Minnesota about an hour north of the twin cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul). I have smoked 39 years , minus a few. Quitting because I like myself and my life much more when I am free. Also, health, scent, life quality, money and resource allocation. Gave up over a year of wonderful freedom last week. Glad I am aware and taking action to be free again. a big fan of both prawns and brussel sprouts.
  19. Hello QT People, Gave away my quit about two weeks ago. One of the top two most unskillful choices of my life. The other one being the first quit I let go. Taking it back at the end of today. Hoping I make it. Feeling wobbly already, yet doing all I can to set up for success. Hoping to ride the rails with you all and STICK CLOSER and contribute more. I really loved the freedom. I look forward to being free again shortly. thanks in advance for the support. Best regards ~darcy
  20. true Jillar. At over 10 months FREE (and it has been and continues to BE deeply gratifying in many ways) my addiction tries to tell me to pick up. Is it abstinence or FREEDOM? Pondering...
  21. nope....so grateful to be FREE

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
