  1. I've now taken my anti-diabetic Trulicity weekly injection. Tonight, at about seven ish I'll be sixty hours quit cold turkey. Tomorrow morning at sevenish I'll be seventy two hours quit cold turkey.
  2. A non-smoking diabetic is much fitter and healthier than a rasping, wheezing smoking diabetic. Thank you, Quit Train, for saving my life and giving me such an enormous wealth of wisdom and knowledge.
  3. I've just had some tinned halved peaches in syrup and sent my blood sugar in my insulin resistant type two diabetes mellitus up to 24.7 mmol. Earlier on I had a melted cheese toasted sandwich. I'm still on the cold turkey Quit
  4. I pledge not to smoke today Monday 20th January 2020 Anno Domini. I'm now 48 hours quit cold turkey. I'm really battling the craves by drinking water and instant coffee.

  10. Thank you all for your very motivating advice comments. I'm now officially back on my Smoking Cessation Programme, hence my Quit. I'm also doing it Cold Turkey, with no NRT whatsoever. You're right, I was a very naughty Aspie in my poorly implemented decision to smoke this morning and then irresponsibly pass the buck on to my Caregiver. Shane on me! I want to let you all know that I value this internet resource and the fine people participating in it. NOPE forever!
  11. My Carer gave me two cigarettes today but I wish he hadn't. He could see how much I was withdrawing from nicotine but a glass of nice cool water or him taking me a long brisk walk to distract me from smoking would have been a better move I think.
  12. I haven't done very well with my smoking cessation in the last day and a half. My Nicorette Quickmist mouth sprays were declined yesterday for my own good because of my taking too much and becoming dependent on them. I've got no choice but to quit nicotine cold turkey. I feel really unwell and my bodily sensations feel numbed by the excessive withdrawal from nicotine. And I feel really jumpy and depressed. What an evil drug nicotine is! And thank goodness for the blocking of my personal allowance. At least I can't buy cigarettes!
  13. I've just run out of Nicorette Quickmist mouth sprays and am having agonizing nicotine withdrawal symptoms. I haven't got any money owing to a government official having power of attorney of my benefits. This is due to my Asperger's syndrome as I'm prone to being financially exploited. The doctor's surgery is trying to cut back on my Nicorette Quickmist mouth sprays prescription availability because of the way I'm misusing it in my Adult ADHD. Drinking water really helps my cravings. At least my governmental monetary restrictions means I can't buy cigarettes so I can keep my quit. I would welcome any advice that might help me get through this setback.
  14. I meant to write Tuesday 14th January 2020 Anno Domini not Monday 14th January 2020 Anno Domini. I'm so sorry.
  15. I pledge not to smoke any tobacco substance today Monday 14th january 2020 Anno Domini. I'm now 13 days smoke free.

  18. Good day, my name is John Baker and I Quit on 2nd January 2020 and am resident in the United Kingdom in South West London. I have a full diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome and adult ADHD. I have a very complicated addiction to nicotine and use Nicorette Quickmist mouth sprays. My GP is going to look into a specialist nicotine abuse rehab for me because I really want to be shot of this addiction. I used to be an online member of http://www.quitnet.meyouhealth.com until it closed down off the internet. I discovered www.quittrain.com on Google.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
