  1. I was very resilient and bounced back when I imagined all my friends on Quit Train all cheering for me and rooting for me. I want to go in to Day 10 completely nicotine free cold turkey. Cold turkey is wonderful and I applaud this fabulous website for all their efforts to defeat the nico-demon as my former site www.quitnet.com called it.
  2. I started on some tubes of Polo sugar free mints and at 7:10 AM this morning achieved 216 Hours nicotine free cold turkey! Been a bit moody because the Council electronically deactivated my disabled persons concessionary travel permit yesterday. I think this is because I never responded to the reminder letter because I found it confusing. Processing complex information is very hard due to executive dysfunction in my Asperger's syndrome. A friend from my kingdom hall is helping me with the technicalities involved in renewing my travel permit.
  3. Twinings tea, not Trainings. Predictive text can be a nuisance on this very sensitive reconditioned powered by android smartphone!
  4. I am reaching the completion of Day 8 nicotine free cold turkey. I've just had a lovely diabetes-friendly cup of strong hot tea (Trainings) as a hot beverage and a sugar free peppermint. I've had my fair share of Sainsbury's Diet Cola sodas today too. Water may be better tomorrow.
  5. Awesome! From Beautiful Aspie 1970. I never wish to smoke that garbage again. I never had the support from Quitnet.com that I get from Quit Train. I love the way you guys believe in Cold Turkey to quit smoking. I did have some fab fun on the quitnet.com website, though!
  6. Thank you, @sazerac. I'm mindful of my own inner strength and I use a lot of willpower reaching for my peppermints rather than money to buy cigarettes, which taste and smell like cow dung. I'm so happy I discovered Quit Train on Google. And I love my mints that my Jehovah's witness friend Michelle bought me.
  7. I really enjoy being on this Quit cold turkey. I've still got my Trebor Extra Strong Mints. I still get craves but I resist against them and fight against them in order to keep my quit.
  8. Sucking and eventually crunching up Trebor Extra Strong Mints are the reason why my Cold Turkey Quit has been so successful. Plus discovering Quit Train. I'm so pleased the craves get better in weeks to come.
  9. I feel a really happy Bing Bunny this morning! I'm one week Quit smoking cold turkey from cigarette smoking! That's 168 days quit smoking cold turkey! My Trebor Extra Strong Mints really help with this quit as well as drinking tap water and walking to my pharmacy to collect my blister pack of medication.
  10. I pledge not to smoke any cigarettes today, Saturday 25th January 2020 Anno Domini. I'm now 7 Days Quit Cold Turkey. That's 1 whole week Quit cold turkey.
  11. I'm 144 hours quit today cold turkey! That's 6 whole days! I have thanks to my God, Jehovah at my Christian meeting last night and picked up some very useful witnessing tips for the field ministry. Once I've eradicated nicotine from my body I'll be able to dedicate myself to Jehovah God publically by water baptism and qualify for the futuristic eternal paradise Earth.
  12. I'm really feeling glad and happy I've managed to achieve 120 hours of smoking and nicotine replacement therapy cessation. I've been drinking water, Sainsbury's diet Cola and walking round the block and back to distract my mind from my craves. I'm going to my Christian religion meeting tonight to pray, sing kingdom songs and receive holy spirit. That strengthens me.
  13. I've still got a purple twenty pound note and a beige ten pound note left in my bedside cabinet drawer.
  14. Instead of buying cigarettes, I bought myself a blue five pound note in money worth of full English breakfast which comprised 2 rashers of bacon, 1 fat, juicy pork sausage, 1 hash brown, mushrooms, french fries, fried egg, baked beans and toast and butter and a lovely frothy coffee. This was much nicer than stinky cigarettes. I'm now in my fifth day quit smoking cold turkey!
  15. I can't wait. I'm drinking water like it's going out of fashion and also praying. I like attending my church community. It's awesome.
  16. I experienced strong nicotine withdrawals but I stood my ground and fought them after grabbing the addiction with all my might and resisting. I've been drinking tons of water to compensate for the missed nicotine. I feel better now. I had a lovely walk, too and feel energised. And I had a lovely shower, too.
  17. I got on very well at the diabetes Community clinic this morning. My hba1c was nice and low at 59, my blood pressure was an excellent 133/79, and my weight was 88.1 kg. The consultant was also very happy that I quit smoking cold turkey.
  18. At 7:10 Ante Meridian Greenwich Mean Time this morning on today Wednesday 22nd January 2020 Anno Domini I will solely achieve my 96 hour or 4 day quit cold turkey from tobacco products.

  19. I'm trying really hard to stay quit by drinking my Diet Cola and water and am watching my favourite TV show called the big bang theory. That doesn't show cigarette smoking.
  20. I feel like I've achieved something. This is the first time I've received my personal allowance from my Carers and not squandered it on cigarettes. I've still got two purple twenty pound notes in my drawer of my bedside cabinet. This morning, at about sevenish, I shall be four days quit cold turkey!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
