  1. She'll be back. And is she ever pissed off!
  2. Congrats on the choice Toni I see you have one month under your belt, that's cause for a celebration. I smoked about 35 years since I was 15 but messed around with it before then... No, you are not alone in this. Welcome, glad you are here, stick with it! it gets better :)
  3. Congrats on that choice! Addiction is hard to understand. We had a long time to get this way. But, the payoff comes to you in a much shorter time frame. Stand by your choice, and never give up. Stay focused and committed. The avatar, I wondered about that one...I thought you may have been a hunter in a tree stand... My avatar is a bomb, the cigarettes are the dynamite stix, what bakon said goes for me as well do all of that stuff you'll be fine. Welcome to the zoo! :)

  7. Nice work C, keep on moving forward! Congrats to you!
  8. Well there you go Babs! You're inspirational! We all knew that, don't we tell you all the time? What dd you bring us from Florida? :) Is it something you can't talk about with Christa but you can talk about with us? ;)
  9. RIP Percy Unchained Melody
  10. LL, This is very well written. It appears you have all the tools you need. The philosophy is sound. The dynamic of using the analogy of addiction to a prison cell is most appropriate. And, you realized you had no control over your addiction and you took measures to change that. The rest is history. You have quit and I hope you stay around as long as you feel comfortable here. And paying it forward like this is what keeps a site like this alive. People come here for inspiration first. If it isn't here, they will find it elsewhere. I am glad you found yours and congrats on your stellar quit! GTQ, Markus
  11. hehe the inmates are in charge Trace lol B) btw I am looking for some help on my alligator farm, I need some people to feed the gators starting on Monday. No experience necessary, no minimum age requirements, top pay in town, and free mini-golf!! Come on out, make some easy and fast money in your spare time. Must be able to write your name to sign waiver!!
  12. Wishbone Ash Greg Lake this is a treat, from the King Crimson days Dave Bowie - One of his best
  13. Ev Your post is great, I love it! You keep doing what you have been, and pledge every day. And take what you need that is available and throw the rest out. Everyone walks their own path, like you are doing, but they don't have to do it alone. You don't need to amaze anyone, just please yourself. I am glad to see that you are happy in your quit. One thing I noticed in your post is that a big part of the journey that some people miss, is they are always quitting, but never stopping to say "look at me" Celebrate your quit and be proud of what you have done, just like you have done in your post! Thanks for the reminder! GTQ, Markus
  14. Tracey You are fired! You have licked your last window in this town! As Mayor of this proud city, it pleases me to no end to appoint you as the new mayor! Here is your office. I just had it remodeled in the last couple of weeks. ;) I am retiring and have already moved to my new business on the south end of town at the swamp, the Alligator Farm and Mini-Golf Course! The mini-golf course is set up around the 40 acre property, so bring the kids and play a round with the gators...watch the water hazards :) Anyone that finishes gets a t-shirt!
  15. thanks you guys :) it was a good day... and today I came home and found the roofers had repaired the storm damage..just in time for the rain this weekend...good karma

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
