Yes, thank you, he is passing his goals, by Friday he has to do 150 feet. Or he goes to more skilled nursing. I told him to push it and do 175 or 200 and he could walk right out of there. You have a job offer? Awesome, do it! If you could help those people that would be great! I have met a lot of really great people who are care givers. If this is what it takes to move you in that direction, then let it sweep you along...gotta love that inspiration, that's most of your battle won ;) xx

Great job on your quit! Try some different routines if you get stuck in a rut, keep that blood sugar up like bakon mentioned and have some veggies around. Take a walk if you can get out, have another hit of sweet air. Keep on posting your progress and power through the craves, they get weaker and you get stronger,. every hour of every day from now on.

mfic, really is nice to see your 4 months. As good as 4 years or 40 years, it's quit. If we can give someone an ally oops for their slam dunk quit, it's a beautiful thing. Pay it forward as you can helps cement your quit...always someone watching the quit and thinking "I can do that". And they can...like BAT says...the whole QT is there.

I never saw this till today BAT, I like it. To start a quit means throwing the shit sticks away and never smoking another one. It's called breaking the cycle of addiction. Last cigarette is the last link in the chain to the next one, and the rest of them. Break the link, you break the chain, you kill the addiction. Keeping that quit, that's the rest of the story, the rest of the walk. Might as well plan on walking for the rest of your life Enjoy the view, it's lovely! :)

Congrats Sue, On your awesome quit, you're a real inspiration. You really had to work different angles to get it, and I wondered if you were ever going to ever sleep again...I have never seen that manifested in a quit for such a long time! Not One Puff Ever

Laura One day at a time sounds like a plan to me. That's how everyone does it., I can relate to that. Here is a story...I found out today from my mother that my father walked 3 steps yesterday and 75 feet today, and this after 10 days in rehab after hospital to pin broken hip, pneumonia and other issues, He is 82 years old One day at a time. Last week they were lifting him in and out of bed and today he walks 75 feet (with a walker using his own strength).. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. There is so much inspiration out there, not just here, but everywhere. People overcome terrible odds to triumph. We all had to crawl till we learned to walk, I wish you the best! I know you can do it, b/c you've done it before... :) Markus

Great article! I forgive you both, Babs and Nancy for being mean to me! ^_^ I won't let that ruin our friendship! Seriously, nobody wants to be in the cross hairs or in an abusive relationship. I have seen a lot of it in my family on both sides, and it's went on for decades. When one of the parties finally passes, so does the abuse. You would think time might soften them up, but in these family feuds, it didn't.. It was really sad to see and live with
