  1. I failed to quit because I'm an addict and life seemed better at that moment when I started agsin. I was wrong on that! I was using nrt and was doing ok, then I didn't use it and picked up a smoke. I've watched some of Joel's videos and prepared best I can.
  2. Thank you. I will. Decided to go with nrt not vaping. it's good to know I'm not the only one quitting! My sense of smell and taste were coming back. Then I smoke again. I want the m back. NOPE!!
  3. Thank you. I will. Decided to go with nrt not vaping. it's good to know I'm not the only one quitting! My sense of smell and taste were coming back. Then I smoke again. I want the m back. NOPE!! A week is great. I felt pretty good after 7 days last quit. Keep going.
  4. I'm here again. Lasted 3 weeks then smoked. Making another attempt tomorrow, the reason? My employers cut our break to 30 mins. Can't face the clock watching and feeling of needing a smoke waiting for our break! Plus my dentist explained the damage I'm doing to my oral health. Not pretty. I'm use the forum more this time.
  5. Sazerac. I've tried cold turkey and it did not work. My other half smokes so temptation is all around. I want this quit to work so while I agree just stopping is probably the best way, I want to give myself all the chances to stop. It don't matter how you get to your destination, it only matters that you get there.
  6. Thanks for the support. Watched Joel's video and have decided there's no time like the present, so I've got a patch on and my mouth spray. I've QUIT! Feels good to have finally done it.
  7. Hi. I've tried to quit many times. Yesterday my chest felt awful, tight and I had a sore throat. Still smoked, but that's what we do!. Today I decided that I do not want to smoke so tomorrows my good bye to smoking, won't miss you!. After 42 years we are splitting up and it's made me happy. This quit will stick. Looking forward to it in fact.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
