  5. It is like bedazzling but smaller! I will post some pics tomorrow. They're in the room & hubby is asleep I don't want to wake him
  6. I heard this in Kohl's the other day and it MADE MY DAY! It's a super obscure song from Third Eye Blind (90's teenager here) lol And it's a remake from Alana Davis. . . I hope you enjoy it.
  7. I don't know if anyone is into it or even heard of it - but diamond painting is taking tiny stones and sticking them to a canvas to make a picture out of the thousands of tiny stones, it keeps your hands SUPER busy! I love doing it to keep me distracted from smoking, just a suggestion if you're into that sort of thing Just Google it if you'd like more info or I would be happy to point you toward my favorite site! I've done at least 5 and that's before I even quit smoking! I never smoked while doing them.
  8. NOPE!
  9. Thanks for the great advice & tips everyone I plan on hanging out as much as I can. I work on an assembly line during the day and it's really hard to type while the line is moving, but I will try during breaks & lunch, etc. and when I get home. But I will be here reading for sure. The last 2 days have been rough but I am hanging in there. I don't want to give up. I am tired of stinking, not being able to breathe, spending money, and countless other things.
  10. Never quit quitting, right? So I am back. I tried quitting at the end of last year - succeeded for about 3.5 weeks. Pretty good for me! I quit again yesterday and of course I need a support system so here I am again. You all were great last time! Although I didn't post much, I sure did lurk a lot, lol I don't remember how to change my ticker, so if someone could help me out with that, I'd appreciate it!
  11. nope!
  12. Hi all, just wanted to check in and say it's been 3 weeks, 2 days and I feel good. I am still using the patch, I see my doctor next week & I think I'll ask him to lower the dose. Not sure if it is time yet, but I'll ask.
  13. I've been on dum-dum suckers! when you save the wrappers you can play a game online and win stuff. I've collected a few lol
  14. I've been putting together lots of jigsaw puzzles!
  15. Thanks for posting this. I am struggling with this a LOT.
  16. Nope, not today!
  17. Hi Jaime, I am new here too, also 39. I have most of the same feelings as you do. I am sure from reading everyone else's posts that you understand you're not alone. Reading up on quitting has helped me beyond words, maybe give that a try.
  18. Thank you all so much! ? I can feel the support, and it helps tremendously!
  19. Hi all, my name is Jill & I want to thank you for this wonderful site/forum! I have been snooping around here and have learned a lot. I quit smoking on December 27 at 2pm, just because my doctor had prescribed the patch and I figured, "what better time than now?" I put out my last smoke and put on a nicotine patch. I never ever in my life expected to be able to get this far! I am beyond proud of myself and although I am taking it day by day, I just can't imagine smoking another cigarette and wrecking all of this hard work I've put in. I smoked since I was 13, and will be 40 this May. That is the majority of my life. And I LOVED smoking, please let me tell you I really did. So this is a huge life changing event for me, and I am excited & scared at the same time. Thanks to you all for being here - this place is truly great and helpful.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
