  1. Still staying strong. The NRT is really working. I don't think about smoking all the time. Just a little now and then.
  2. I am on lozenges. So far so good. It certainly is taking the edge off. I have a good feeling about the future.

    Ahhhh. I want to buy pack so bad. This is the worst it has been, quitting that is. I am chewing regular gum and that is helping.

  11. Thanks for the kind words. I still have half a pack that I can't seem to destroy. I can just get a new pack so what is the point.
  12. I can't remain quit! I watched all the videos and read the posts and I still cant quit. I am desperate. I feel like I am letting everyone here down.

  16. This forum is saturated with reasons not to smoke. I thought it was useful to list the supposed reasons why we smoke, even though they are debunked or out right false. 1- It calms down nerves 2- The morning buzz from the first cig. 3- It is refreshing after a meal. 4- It affords me a break 5- Reason for a trip outside 6- It makes me cooler 7- It is soothing because of the addiction 8- The impulse is strong 9- Oral fixation 10- Affirms independence That is all I could think of. Pretty lame. I think it is better to stay quit.

    Major urge right now. Thinking about just going to the gas station down the street and buy a pack. It would be so easy to start again. I am worried about Monday when I will be all alone in the house. I am on disability but my wife works and daughter is at school.

    Great to hear. So far I'm letting the urges come and just try to observe them. It seems to work. I try to remain as an observer, curious and detached. It is helping so far.
