  1. You came to the right place. The people on this forum have all been there and are very supportive. Getting over the physical addiction last a few days and is hard but the real struggle, I believe, is mental. The urge to smoke presents as an "idea" more than a physical necessity. But the brain might be governed by physical mechanisms. Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is I know it is hard but be careful when it gets easy. Unfortunately, a relapse can happen at any time.
  2. nope to the monster

  11. Hey all you quitters! Staying nope over here. I was mowing the lawn today and felt a sense of panic at the thought of not having a smoke half way through. The day is filled with these little moments where I would take a break. Not sure how to fill the "break" space.

  15. Anyone use modafinil for fatigue?
  16. 8 mins until Monday for me.....but NOPE!
  17. Pretty good. Used to going outside for a smoke so I'm just going out for fresh air.
  18. Awesome! Don't worry about what people think. If you haven't been addicted to nicotine you don't know what it's like. By the way... do you have to copy and paste a new ticker each time?
  19. Day 4 and still going strong. Things seem to be better but the desire to go to the gas station keeps cropping up. I feel more normal physically.
  20. NOPE
  21. Wooaah. Bad craving. Fantasising about driving to the gas station. I won't let the images develop! Afraid that if I really think about it I will give up.
  22. You can do it Sean!!!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
