  1. Happy Birthday Abby. Have a wonderful Birthday!
  2. You go girl! You can do this Lilly. Let's make this quit your last!
  3. High Dizzy. So glad you lurked and finally decided to join us. This forum finally turned out to be my success story. This wonderful group of people know how to hold you up along that rough road of quitting. Quitting is truly just a short period of discomfort and then learning to redirect your thoughts. Life without cigarettes is an awesome, powerful feeling. I look forward to helping you along your journey.
  4. Oh and wouldn't you love to be a mouse in a corner at the big event. It is going to be one beautiful day when Boo marries his sugar britches!
  5. Love this song. Boo would be sweeping me off my feet with this one.
  6. ICH. Congratulations on your 1 month. The worst part is over. The rest of the work is just retraining the brain. You definitely should get checked out. You could have broken ribs. I can't believe there is not a free clinic around. Many hospitals have grants or forms of help for people without insurance.
  7. Oh Lilly. I think you will never be able to finally quit until you care about yourself. I wish you could grasp the power of your quit and start to feel how important your life is. It really is like running a marathon. You get part way through the race and give up. If you would just push yourself to the end, you feel the awesome sense of accomplishment. Stay in touch and know that we are here for you.
  8. Rozuki, where do you find your cute NOPES?
  9. Can't Help Falling In Love. Sorry but I am a smuck when it comes to love songs. I did like him in the beginning and enjoyed his early movies. I think Boo should use this song for his first dance, with sugar britches, on his wedding day. Of course we all know Boo has these moves down for the other dances!
  10. Lilly, it is plain and simple that you are an addict. You become obsessed with that cigarette you are not going to have the minute you quit. That is what an addict does. You need to concentrate on how wonderful a life is without them. I was scared to death to quit but the minute I realized I could, the thought of going back repulsed me. Once you gain the power to quit, you need to hold onto it. Respect it, admire it and hold onto it with all you have. Distraction is the most important. You were a wonderful blogger. You really put meaning in your feelings. You are worth so much more than that cigarette. I believed in you from the beginning. Now, you need to believe in yourself. This illness has gotten you through the withdrawal period. Take that and go with it. You have the power to do this!
  11. Nope
  12. Congratulations Opah. It has been tough but you have made it this far. You are not alone when life throws you those curves. We are right there with you cheering you through. Keep the wonderful quit going.
  13. Congrats on your 3 years. I have been so grateful to have you along my journey. You are no nonsense, straight forward and funny. Though your life is evolving into much better things, I hope you stay around to keep coaching.
  14. Your confidence is glowing. Isn't it amazing how much more powerful we become as our quit grows. Getting to 25 days is the toughest but the rest of the ride is so much easier. I am so glad you found the train and you have now become a part of my journey also. You have this now keep that quit going.!!!!!!!
  15. I was really worried. I no longer smoke but I am a quittrain addict. I need my daily fix of friends and fun!
  16. Well, I never liked to run but I need a little more warmth to get out there. I have been enjoying the scenery on the treadmill at Planet Fitness. They have t.v.s you can watch and I have gotten hooked on HGTV. When I get in shape, my husband is in big trouble with the home renovations I want to take on.
  17. Wow. Two days in a row. Being able to track that and watch it must make you feel so powerful!
  18. Positive thoughts Opah. You are getting more and more confident with your quit and that will show in those interviews.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
