  2. Jet Black, this thread is about Lilly feeling down and not about you relapsing. She is reaching out for support, not negativity. It never does good to stay in a dark place. Your relapse was in the past and now it is time to move forward.
  3. Remember Lilly, part of quitting is grieving the loss of the habit that was such a huge part of our life. Don't let others make you doubt your quit. You are doing so well and should feel pride. I am hoping you wake up with a new and encouraging attitude. I know you can do this. So glad you are reaching out and letting us help you through these tough times.
  4. I thought I saw Reci in his backyard!
  5. And you will continue to do fine. Each day gets better and better. Stay close to the forum and reach out if you need us.
  6. I think because I quoted if off of your quote. If not, I am confused too, lol.
  7. 11 years. But for what I paid, they should have lasted forever. Hell I was going to leave them to my children
  8. They were 11 years but should have lasted forever.
  9. Wow Queen B. Mom to five is quite impressive. That excitement you are feeling will only get better as your quit gets longer. I am nine months quit and feel on top of the world. To be free is such a wonderful feeling. I look forward to watching you take your life back!
  10. Hi Queen B. Welcome here. This is a wonderful place to help support your quit. I had smoked for 42 years and tried many different ways to quit. I finally quit after finding the forum. You have the right thinking "Not One Puff Ever". The first couple of weeks are difficult but once the nicotine is out of the body, it is just a matter of changing your thinking. You will feel much more powerful as you gain control of your life and learn to handle your addiction. Stay on board, read as much as you can and reach out when you need us!
  11. I was weighing the cost of being put to sleep $265.00 compared to a happy pill $72.00. My husband says we are not going to scrimp there and I need to be put to sleep. I am a wimp when it comes to pain.
  12. I did not know that. Sounds worth checking into. I had already put $27,000.00 into my dental work and to find that it failed is disgusting. Yes, you can private message me the info and I will check it out.
  13. Ouch! Not the work on my mouth but the cost to repair it. $10,000. !!! My implants have failed and they have ruined my teeth. I will have to have the implants surgically removed and teeth redone. Of course the insurance does not cover this work! The smoking did a lot of damage to my bone, along with having osteoporosis. Don't think I am going to be smiling for a while. Doc said it will take about to months for my mouth to heal. On the plus side, I will probably lose some of the pounds that have been driving me crazy because I won't be able to chew for a while.
  14. You, my dear, have a wonderful outlook. I am so sorry that you lost your job and will pray that something better comes along. I am at awe in your strength and resolve. I don't know whether I would not have caved. You do have a wonderful Lust4Life and I think things will work out better.
  15. Not being ashamed anymore. Smoking and knowing I was slowly killing myself.
  16. Uh oh. I am waiting to see the dentist. One of my implants hurts. I don't think I am brave enough to have them work on it. I barely survived when they put them in.
  17. Happy and safe travels. You are really enjoying that retirement!
  18. Thanks Doreen, Actually today is our 43rd Anniversary. Below is the Hunka, Hunka burning love I married. He was pretty hip in those days. Look at that long hair, hairy chest and definitely those platforms on the day we married. We both may be weathered with a few more wrinkles and pounds but he is still my hunk of burning love

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
