  4. Doreen I am so sorry for your loss. You and your husband shared many years and you were such a champion in taking care of him, your heart must be broken. Know that I am praying for you and your family.
  5. We do have a GPS but I call her Lucy. She does not do a very good job. She has caused more arguments between my husband and I. I will take a good old map any day.
  6. They are beautiful. Planting is always my therapy. So glad you finally have you health back and can have the joy of planting again. I just finished trimming the pushes. My back is killing me and boy am I tired. I can not let my husband loose on my bushes. He always gives them a buzz. Sometimes I think he does it on purpose so I won't let him do it again.

  9. Good Job Sunshine59. Your world is changing and getting better. It is hard to do school with family. I admire your fortitude. Keep that quit going and you are on your way to a better life. Good luck last semester.
  10. freeatlast, you will have a few days of discomfort. They are all doable. We will be here, so be sure and keep us informed on how you are doing. Hopefully we can guide you through!
  11. Okay, we are camping and my husband decided we were going to hike from the campground into the town. He didn't tell me it would be through a cemetery (I met all the dead people of Lebanon, Ohio) and down a hill (which would be up on the way home). He said it was only 1 and 1/2 miles. Turned out to be 4.37 miles and 9,397 steps. What were we thinking. We both are too out of shape for this kind of hike. Someone actually stopped and asked us if we needed help in the cemetery. We were to embarrassed to say yes "give us a ride back to the campground". We did however have some good laughs at ourselves. We did make it back to the campground. I will let you know if we can move tomorrow!!!!!
  12. Nope not ever again!
  13. Hi freeatlast! So glad you have made the choice to quit. Many of us smoked for way more years than you. Do not be embarrassed. The addiction robs us of our reasoning. As you travel your journey to freedom, you will feel so empowered and your self esteem will grow. It truly is just a short bumpy ride for about a week, until you are nicotine free. The rest of the process is just redirecting your brain. Just shout out if you need us. We all have been where you are at.
  14. Oh C9jane. I am do happy for you. I have missed you so much and worried about you. Your phone addiction was my salvation. You played a big part in my quit. Family always comes first but maybe you could find a little time to pop in and give us one of your glitter showers occassionaly. Love you girl. You will always be a part of my life. Beautiful home and family. Have fun settling in your new home.
  15. Hope you pop in to join in the celebration. Your glitter and presence are very missed.

  17. Good for you. Things will eventually always fall into place. You also worked hard for your quit and do not want to let go of that.
  18. Hi Juan. I am so glad you have come back. It is so great you can be honest with us because then we know how to guide you. I also deal with anxiety and depression. Depression can make you feel very isolated and alone. Well you are not that anymore. You have all of us here wanting to help lift you up and guide you to freedom from your addiction. You will be amazed how quitting gives you power and a huge boost in your self esteem. Smoking just plays into our feelings of low self esteem. Let's get this quit going. Hang around and play some games. Start pledging the Nope pledge. Share with us your feelings. There is a wonderful group here that wants to help you.
  19. Nope for me. This is my Missy girl (Zoey is in the corner). That is her favorite place to ride in the RV. Not the greatest picture but taken with my phone on the rode. This just looked like a Nope picture to me!
  20. Your hikes are always so beautiful. My brother lives in Redondo Beach and when we visit he just wants us to go sight seeing. You need to put a place and name on your hikes so we can try some of them. Then again, we are to old farts, we might not have the endurance you do.
  21. Chips and knightrider too?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
