  1. Welcome back Opah. Glad you decided to quit again. Smoking does not have to be a part of life's roller coaster. So happy you landed on your feet and found a good job.
  2. Congrats Jillar! A great choice! You sure put your love and devotion into this forum. You also pick the best sticks of the day!
  3. I see it! It is a big blob of color!
  4. Nope!
  5. I was a rather reserved lady until I landed here. Now I know how to use the 4 letter word in a sentence and I am looking at sticks of the day!
  6. Boo, I am right there with you. I can't see a thing. What we lack in one area, we must make it up in another!
  7. I love you too! I am so glad I found this place. I wish I could have stumbled across it years ago.

    Confessions

I think your hair is pretty. I used to pay tons for perms to get curls. My hair is so thin and straight. I have to wear mine short. Me!

    Scary Story/Stories

I love your pictures and the best thing you are doing is staying on the forum. I was addicted to the forum when I first quit. I am still addicted to the forum and love watching quitters like you succeed. I am so grateful to have quit, I have no urge to go back. I was so ashamed of smoking and was so afraid of getting a smoking related illness. I am a little over a year quit and feel that I have been given a second chance at life. Maybe that thought will pop into my head sometime and I will just redirect that thought. Don't let that thought lead you back to smoking. You just completed hell week. You are on your way!!!!!
  11. mrsguest, use some of that bitchiness to set some new rules! Let him know that you want his support even though he is not quitting. Remember how strong you are and know that you can power through anything. I actually did not like the smell of smoke in my early quit. I would look at smokers as aliens and was glad I no longer smoked. Stress was a big trigger for me but every time I pushed through the crave, I felt so powerful!

    Day 7! My Thoughts Today

mrsguest seven days is huge. You should feel so proud. That nose running could really be allergies. They have been saying the pollen has been awful and you live kind of close to me. I drank a lot of water and sucked on ice cubes. Maybe warm tea would be soothing. Remember you have made it through hell week and it will get easier every day. Keep looking ahead and concentrate on that smoke free life!
  13. Happy Birthday Jo. Hope your day was as special as you are!
  14. Nope!
  15. I always would say I was going to quit for the Great American Smoke Out. Well, that day always came and went.

  21. Don't worry Unguided. We will guide you through. You are so smart to quit after only smoking 4 to 5 years. Many of us have smoked a lifetime. You only experience a couple of difficult weeks and then it is a matter of changing your thinking. You can do this. Educate yourself, stay close to the forum and we are here for you. You can do this!
  22. mrsguest. This too shall pass. I couldn't stand myself for about 4 weeks in my quit. Thank goodness my husband loved me. Believe me it is all worth it.
  23. Hi Twice. You are right at home here and we are here for you. You can go to the introduction area and tell us a little about yourself. Don't worry we have all been where you are. Congratulations on deciding to quit. Education yourself and stay close and we will guide you through.
  24. I don't know why. I would like to do a zip line. I don't like roller coasters or flying, so I can't believe I would like to zip line.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
