    July Roll Call

I am coming. I am here! Those lock down pounds are slowing me down!
  2. Welcome sj! You are so wise to address the dangers of smoking before wasting most of your life dealing with the addiction. The good news is that your body will start to repair the minute you quit. Stay on board and educate yourself. We are here to help guide you along the way. You can quit!

  4. Welcome aboard Michael. Some of us have experienced some of the symptoms you describe. The best bet is to check with your physician. There is a lot of anxiety in quitting and it is hard not to obsess on some of the symptoms. This is a great place to share your feelings and ask questions. I am so glad you are doing well in your quit. A couple of weeks is huge! I can promise you that every day will get better and better.
  5. OMG this was so me. I was the biggest closet smoker and so ashamed. The thing that is sad about this, is that I chose to stay home and not take part so that I could smoke. The best part of my quit is the freedom to live life without looking ahead to my next cigarette.
  6. @JohnQ and @idontsmoke you are both rocking your quits. Keep forging ahead because freedom is wonderful!
  7. I slept more during my quit. I so welcomed it because it helped me get through the tough part. Just go with the flow idontsmoke. Your life will improve every day!

  12. I got hooked on those darn things when I quit smoking. It was like another addiction. I can safely say that I am off them for good and shedding all the pounds I gained from them!
  13. Oh Lilley, I am so sorry you relapsed. I have a hard time understanding the quitters who relapse after a long period. I am so grateful that I quit, I never want to go back there. I do know that self esteem had a big play in my smoking. As you travel the journey of quitting, you have to build on that self esteem. Know that your life is so worth saving and you have to want to do it. Don't quit smoking thinking about the cigarette you won't get to smoke. Quit knowing that you are stronger than the next crave. You can do this.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
