Happy to report first 24 hours without a cigarette.
Mee replied to Steven Drojensky's topic in Quit Smoking Discussions
And those days can continue to add up. Just keep going forward and don't look back. I promise your life will change in so many wonderful ways - not just beside quitting! -
I have been an inny all my life and still hate picking the lint out of it!

Oh Darcy, you are so like I was. During my quit, my emotions ruled my craves. My self esteem was about zero I am approaching my second year of freedom and I can't tell you how strong I have become. You are so worth a happy smoke free life. Just keep that quit going. You have already been through the tough stuff. You do not want to blow that. Hang in there!

@reciprocity that looks great. I don't know how you managed such labor in this heat.

Welcome Linda. I am so glad you joined us. I did not find success until I found this site. This group of wonderful people guided me along my journey. I had smoked for 42 years and had tried every way possible to quit. Stay close, play some games and educate yourself. You can do this!

I do the huge soup bones for the dogs. Since they will destroy any toy, they have a big basket of bones. Of course we are constantly tripping on them. Since my husband loves to make wings, we will try giving the tips to them.

He is adorable. Love that smile!

OMG Michelle. You are doing so great and do not want to go there!. I have been here for your many attempts to quit and think you need to bite the bullet and get it over with. You are much stronger than you think and just need to push past those craves.

You are brave Mona. My husband and I are so bored. Our high light, once a week, is going for a drive. We are beginning to really feel like old people!

My favorite is the drums! The flat is too fatty for me! I definitely do not like them hot. Honey BBQ for me!

Thanks Nancy. We will try this one. My husband does his wings in the air fryer too. He slow cooks them in chicken broth in the slow cooker for 4 hours first. They stay moist but get crisp on the outside in the air fryer. OMG these look good too. We are definitely trying these too.

Now that sounds gross to me. I did not think you should give chicken bones to the dog.

idontsmoke, good luck on your surgery. I am so glad you are doing so well with your quit and am sure your recovery will be much more improved.

Nah! You are quitting smoking and life will just keep getting better and better. Your wife is very lucky to have you and is probably grateful you have quit. Up In Smoke, I promise you will get stronger each day and there will be a time you will not miss it!

Congratulations madturtle, one month nicotine free is awesome. Now that your feet are soundly planted on the ground, the rest of this journey will be so much easier! Just keep your mind on the prize - a life free of smoking.

Husband and I have gotten so hooked into the Heartland series. It is good, family entertainment. There are 13 seasons of 18 shows and we are on season 7. It was filmed in Reci's country, Canada. The scenery is beautiful and about a family on a horse farm!

Welcome Valerie. I did not get shingles when I quit but have had them before They are miserable. I finally got the shot to prevent them. Shingles come from stress and quitting smoking is stressful.
