Welcome Mick. This is a great place for encouragement and support in quitting smoking. You definitely want to be around for every precious moment with your granddaughter. She will be blessed with all the memories you will make for her. One month smoke free is huge. The first month is the toughest. Keep moving forward and never look back. You can do this!

Pick that penny up! You have to be saving for college for that little cutie! You can fill a whole jar in one parking lot. Many people don't want to be bothered with them and throw them in parking lots. I don't care whether they are heads up or down, they still spend the same.

Linda, I had difficult issues with my family. They are truly Loony Toons. I found that, as I grew stronger in my quit, I grew stronger dealing with my family. I no longer let them rule or ruin my life. I feel they played a big part in my self esteem and not caring about myself. This journey is not just about quitting smoking. You are going to find who you really are! Hang in there girl!

Just Breath deep and know that the clean fresh air is not killing you! You have gotten through the difficult month and don't want to go back there. The nicotine is gone, so it is the addiction talking. You are stronger than your addiction. You can do this!

How about under you mask. With three dogs, I get the darn things under my mask and they go up my nose. Of course they don't start tickling your nose, until your are out in public and can't take it off.

OMG, I haven't even been paying attention. I was thinking it was more towards the end of the month. Boy has my life changed with a retired husband, who is attached to my hip and this pandemic! Our dream of traveling and spending the winters in Florida have disappeared for right now. In my smoking days, I would have been using this as an excuse to keep killing myself with cigarettes! Instead, I feel great. Every clean breath, I think of myself healing from all the years of smoking. I am so encouraged that my husband and I will be able to have many more healthy years together. I am so amazed that I don't think of smoking anymore! I smoked for 42 years and never thought I had the power to quit. I am so grateful to all of you, who let me know how strong I am.

Steven, I think most who relapse start there quit obsessing about that cigarette they are not going to have. That is always the addict talking. You have the power to push past that. You have to concentrate on how your life will be without cigarettes. Deep breath that fresh air in and exhale all those addictive thoughts.

BKP, what a great analogy.

Doreen, they all don't have knockers Some of them have sticks! I think this group of quitters have to be the strongest. Quitting during the pandemic has got to be tough.

Been thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. So glad you are finally feeling better. I did not think they let you sleep after surgery, but thought they got you up and moving. You are doing awesome on your quit!
