The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday
Mee replied to SecondChanceSailor's topic in Introductions & About Us
Welcome Sailor. 17 days quit is awesome. That is the tough time when you are getting rid of all that nicotine. The next part is just avoiding those craves and changing your pattern of thinking. How exciting you are going to have a new baby girl. This is the perfect time to change your life. Start reading about your addiction and also read other member experiences. We are all here to support, cheer and help you along. So happy to help you on this journey. -
Hi Hamilton! Sounds to me like you are at a major turn in your life. Why would you want to take the negative with you. You are still so young and have so much life ahead of you and this is a great time to quit. You need to just stop smoking and bite the bullet. It is not pleasant the first couple of weeks but is doable. It is so worth the challenge. I am so glad you found this forum. It is a wonderful place for information and support. I look forward to helping guide you in this journey! Linda

Wish I had a window cleaner. The one I have (my husband) is ready to be fired and I can't do ladders anymore!

We have too many of those too. All puppies right now. Wish you lived closer and could bring Cash for a play date to wear mine out.

I was joshing with you Boo. My exercise level is very low these days I figure you probably are a young stud and I am an old fart. I was hoping when I quit smoking I might get some of that energy back! Hasn't happened yet.

Oh Joe, I know how you are feeling. We are such dog lovers and lost two of our golden retrievers, within a short period of each other. Sixteen years is a long life for a dog and it sounds like yours gave you many special memories with your children. Ours also had cancer but kept going until, one day they looked at us as if to say they could not move an inch. Making the decision to say goodbye is so tough. Sending hugs your way.

Oh please......I was a nice wife and helped my husband pick up all the sticks in the yard and clean up leaves. I sure am feeling it today!

Catlover, they are absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful gift for your friends for Christmas. You have actually stimulated my crafting mood.

Hi Ang. Looks like you have a great start. This is a great place to get support on your quit journey. I can tell you I tried many different ways to quit but never succeeded until I landed here. Read as much as you can on the forum. It helps to read other quitters' experiences. Shout out if you need support. We are here for you.

Rhino, I think it is more the emotional need than the nicotine need . I also had a hard time with depression but had an issue with that before I quit. I did see my physician and she bumped my medication up. Once I quit, I did not want to put nicotine back in my body. Try to envision your body healing as you are moving forward. Those wobbles really throw you off. I have been having quite a few lately and I just hit three months. So glad you were able to work through your crave.

Hey, if we couldn't talk her down, she was going to have to face Doreen's frying pan. ?. Tammy, so glad you were able to get past the crave. I am so amazed how I think I have this handled and one day jumps out there and I want to smoke. I am also so grateful for the people here.
