  1. NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Thank all of you for your support over the years. The Quit Train site and the QSMB have really helped me keep this quit. I hope that others will realize that it`s never too late and quitting is within reach for anyone. Lot of special people here but anyone can quit if they really want it and have support when they need it. This place has loads of it. Again, thank all of you for the support.

  16. I first heard this as a young musician in a Vegas lounge. Some nameless female singer was singing this surrounded by smoke, noise, and people who could care less. had to ask who did this and I`ve always loved this tune. MM also co-wrote this.
  17. Way to stay strong Grund!!

  19. Welcome aboard mightyboosh. Your journey to quit is similar to mine. I am 69 years old and smoked most all of my life except for a few years I quit in my thirties. It took the vascular problem and a bout of pneumonia and 9 days in the hospital to FINALLY knock some sense in my head. This is tough but not as tough as I`d always thought it would be. Desire to change is the key and commit to it with all your heart and soul. You are in a great place here with wonderful people with a lot of knowledge and support. Stay aboard because it`s never too late for us old timers to quit! Stay close to the board and give yourself the chance to succeed. You can do this. You have done it before and you can do it again. Best wishes and hope to see you hanging around.
  20. Congratulations MLMR on the one year mark! Huge step! Enjoy, you deserve it.

  25. That even though you are no longer physically addicted to nicotine the mental side can creep up and still raise it`s ugly head. Happened to me today. The stupid thought that I could have just one and it would not hurt. I did not have one because I know I am a lifetime addict to nicotine. Almost 3 years and you still have the fight. Not nearly as tough as it was but the thought does not completely go away. Perhaps it will someday but regardless the fight is worth it.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
