  4. Congrats BKP, such a brilliant quit you've got going. And I will never tire of stating this but you've given me my go to statement for my quit... so thank you for the support always. KTQ and keep shining!!!
  5. Wow MLMR, 3 months, you've really rocked this quit, haven't you? Inspite of the junkie's roar, you were able to silence that guy into meek submission, and kept your quit firm and strong. You're an amazing help and support source around the forums (having received that multiple times myself) so a big big thank you for the same. KTQ now MLMR, and before you know it, it'll be your bedazzled arrival on the Lido Deck. I know I'll be there holding a glass of champagne for you my friend. Kudos!!!

  13. @ChosenFreedom Hi, and sorry for the late wishes but welcome to the forum. Day 5 for you now? It's an amazing decision you've taken to take back control of your life, primarily because smoking absolutely does nothing to change the situation you may be in. Stay strong, and what worked for me was I focused on getting through one hour, one crave and then one day at a time. And now I've completed 5 months. Stick close to this forum, amazing help and support available. One day at a time, and soon you'll be celebrating your milestones with us. Stay strong CF, you've started a great quit...keep it going

  17. 8.00 PM (IST) I had my last smoke on the 19th June 2018, and woke up on 20th June quite pissed that I'm just kidding myself about stopping, and decided that's it, today's the day. 5 months quit now, had a few wobbles (as @Doreensfree says) but managed to get back up on my feet, more often than not due to the friends I have on here. My brother and sis-in-law had a baby girl last week and I travel to the States (Dallas, Texas) for the 1st one's birthday and meet this one in March 2019. Life's good, even if it kicks me in the shins now and then, I mean otherwise where would the fun be in living.

  19. My dearest QT family, As Jo rightly said, this month has been quite challenging, but c'est la vie...and I wouldn't have gotten through without the phenomenal amazing support I received on this forum. Each and every one of you has been instrumental in reminding me that I'm better than the situation I'm in. As BKP so aptly put it "Keep the quit, you're worth it". That line stuck with me and was something I kept repeating to myself throughout. Thanks to each one of you, you guys are amazing beautiful human beings. I know I've stated this before, but it is true...I am so glad I found this community. Loved each comment such an awesome thing to see before starting your workday

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
