  1. OK,, I cant run because of my back,,, that is why I bike ride. As far as the couch to 5k goes, it is excellent program if you do it the way it is intended. Do not push it and listen to your body. We have had multiple members start to run and push to fast and end up hurt in one way or another, so just be smart and careful.... Most of all, enjoy it!!! Congrats ElB!
  2. @Soozie... anyone with a glass of wine in hand is Ok in my book!!! Got into the club at 4:45am this morning....I did 45 mins of light weights and then a 45 min spin class. Tomorrow is my day off..
  3. OK SG.... First off you are less than two months quit and your body is going through a lot of changes right now. So before you go trying to fix something that may in fact fix it self with a little time, I would take small steps with it. Don't get me wrong, I will always tell everyone that a visit to the doctor for a good check up is always a good thing, you should definitely do this. Your metabolism is right now doing a screeching slow down with out the nicotine, your body is now absorbing nutrients and drugs in a different and more aggressive way. ( for me it even screwed up my blood pressure meds.) If you have anxiety, be very aware of your caffeine intake because your body is now able to absorb more of that than it did... For example. The amount of nicotine that absorbed into your system from one cup of coffee when you were a smoker is now twice that amount now. So cut all of your caffeine consumption in half... There are so many things that could be causing these symptoms. That being said.. we need some more info... How long and how much did you smoke? What kind of cheeses... hard or soft?? How much processed food do you eat?? How much do you exercise and how??? I am gluten intolerant and could go on and on about eating healthy these days..

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
