  1. bakon, Nice of you to start this thread, (I haven't read it yet), and all the posters in it. Seems a long thread already. I smoked last nite, and am smoking again, today. I apologize. I'm kinda ashamed. You've already invested so much into my quit. Yet here I am, throwing it all away, again. I am not the person I was before. Or, it seems like this. My other times when on "the sites", I felt strong, and in control, (or at least until towards the end of my last quit). I don't feel that way now. Dancer; You were speaking of needing a quitting partner to run with, or something to that effect, and I said "You bet". I cannot be this person though, even if I was still "clean" and had not smoked. Please, connect with the others, as I know you can. So, there you have it.
  2. I will not smoke today.

  5. Yep, just over 24 hours, without nicotine. No quit-smoking aids, but the QT. Thank you, everyone, for putting up with my rantings and such before quitting. I really appreciate your patience. I needed to prepare myself for the quit, and get familiar with the QT. Thank you, for welcoming me. The first 24 hours quit, where a surprise. I am not having the old-familiar cravings. (You know, those seemingly every minute jolts of "I want a cigarette"). Maybe, just maybe, I am finally experiencing an "Easy Peasy" quit. :)
  6. Thanks, Babs. I enjoyed your pics by the way.
  7. Ya, Ava. What's more important in one's life, than that. Good one!
  8. No. Thanks, I will look for it later, when my head isn't in the clouds. Have ever flown in a small airplane into a cloud. It looks like you are in the middle of a ping pong ball. That's me right now. :)
  9. Hey, dancer. I am just ~23 hours from my last hit on a butt. (Quitting again). I don't know by what name you will remember be by, Schmokefree, oh yes I had a panda bear avatar a few years ago, then the stop sign. But, I think you should remember me as Mike, too. Take it easy. No pressures here. I too, needed to join some friends on a site again, to help me sustain a quit. (If that is what you are doing). Anyways ... good to see you!
  10. huh?? When I look at the bottom of the main page, to see what members are doing, I often see "Searching", or something like that. So to try it, I stuck "Mike" in the search box, and this was on the first page. You guys make my heart ache, sometimes. ... I wasn't lurking, I was busy smoking and slaying dragons. luv yous

  14. Sounds good. But, I just heated some brown rice, chicken and mixed veggies. I'll keep in in mind, (of which I still have). 6

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
