  1. You must be feeling fantastic! Congratulations, Rose! Major milestine!!
  2. @Sslip - You are.rocking your quit, full stop!! Thank you for being MY hero, and congratulations on four months of being your own hero as well!!
  3. You ARE stronger than you think you are, and I love how empowered you are! You are brave and committed! Keep up the vigilance! I didn't use patches, so I can't speak from experience there. But, these first few weeks are a roller coaster of emotions while you go through the process. Go with them as best as you can. Stay close.to the board for as long as you need, and then stay a little longer.
  4. -12 again
  5. Well, I missed that rule. You may have thought that the title of the post was self-explanatory, but not for this special snowflake. LOL! Sorry 'bout that! Edited to Add: One Sock (in the laundry)
  6. -12
  7. Out came the Rockettes. I put in a calendar.
  8. I think I'll start counting in weeks once I hit 21 days. For now, it still feels good to see the number grow every day - it's like a little gold star I give myself. HAHAHAH!
  9. @Pearlie I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. (((hugs))) @notsmokinjo What are these topics of the day that you keep mentioning? Things that grow? NOPE - I smell too darn good to smoke today!
  10. Sweeeeet! Congratulations!
  11. Can I just say that I love, love, love your very matter of fact, almost over-simplified way of describing things? It really has a way of minimizing the scary stuff for me. Thank you!
  12. I think you're right, and when I look at Sazerac's earlier post, I think that might actually be part of it. Perhaps I AM being aggressive.. because I recognize the junkie thinking for what it is (most of the time) and make it a point to remind my silly self that those are NOT my thoughts, and then try to distract myself so I'm not listening to them. Put in that context, I suppose I'm actually a lot tougher than I was giving myself credit for.
  13. Awesome! That quit looks GREAT on you!!
  14. And out came the wrong forecast. I put in a jar of red paint.
  15. lying under Bodhi
  16. Stubborn Guitar

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
