  1. I popped in after a year or so probably and was reminded of my journey. I am so thankful for this forum (and the quit smoking message board I started in). I passed my two year smoke free mark in January and any time someone asks for tips or how I did it I credit the forum. I am so thankful for the support that is shared here. A special thanks those who stick around and help and guide others...you are amazing humans. Keep it up folks...it is worth it. Ps. Jillar, I am so happy to see you are still around. I hope you are doing well. Miss and love you. I'm sure if I dug a little deeper I'd see many other old friends....such amazing support here.
  2. Thanks for remembering Jillar and for the congratulations everyone! I must say I am super proud. I year ago I doubt I would have believed that I'd be here but the time flew by and it was easier than I thought. I know it has been said time and time again but it is so true that if I can do it, than anyone can...I love having more money, more time and being able to exercise again. Life is good...thanks again everyone! The support I had on QSMB was priceless and when it went down, being able to come here helped fill the void, even if I didn't use it in the same was as I had before...stay strong and carry on everyone. I love and thank you all <3 <3 <3
  3. Thanks everyone! I had a 7 month quit the only other time I seriously quit smoking then stupidly threw it away...different life and different journey now...I'm so excited to be setting new smoke free personal records every day now... ??????????
  4. Well done! I too was helped out by Nancy when I first joined qsmb....she is the best ???
  5. I love not having to go to the minimart every day
  6. I went on a road trip and when we stopped for a hotel they asked smoking or non smoking. I never smoked inside so motels were the rare indoor treat for smoker me and since not all hotels offer smoking rooms it was extra special....this time, she our travel buddy said smoking (he smokes marijuana...legal here)....I cringed...I gagged when I entered the room and even after an hr with the door open it still was so gross....i can't imagine what it was like for non smokers when you could smoke almost anywhere (I'm from the pariah generation)
  7. Not having a smokers cough and being able to exercise are two of my favs
  8. One month is such a HUGE accomplishment....if you can do that you can do anything....keep moving forward and get those miles under your belt....you've got this
  9. Thank you so much everyone...you do so much for so many people! You are the best and greatly appreciated......??????

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
