  1. NOPE not today
  2. Hi @Kimberbee I really thought it was a typo and you meant patches, ive never heard of pouches! Im so glad you posted an SOS and are feeling better. It sounds like you are stressing about the surgery and somehow your brain made the leap to I need cigs! Its funny how our brains work. Is this your first surgery since quitting? If so, this is yet another first for you in your amazing one year quit. Once you get through this smoke free youll feel awesome, theres nothing you cant get through! As you said just getting it out how you are feeling has made you feel better, so please keep sharing. Is there anything else you can do to try and help, I think id try and do things that help relax me, like some gentle exercise if your health permits, do things you enjoy if you can.
  3. Hey everyone, just checking in to let you know im ticking along very nicely here. I seem to be just queitly getting on with it. I like doing the daily nope pledge, i was never a big noper before, but it really sets me up for the day, its a great wee tool. Im not missing cigarettes, ive got more cash in the bank, my skins looking brighter, my house isnt a stinky smoke den anymore, its all good. Now I think about it, I reckon those fleeting thoughts of its fag time, are getting less and less. Im still a bit anxious, but the gym helps with that. Im coming up to the month mark and pretty chuffed with myself
  4. wow Jo, congrats! Im kicking myself, I should be in the 5 year club with you, im an idiot. Well done you, and thanks so much for sticking around here and helping us all. Are you going to treat yourself today? I know everything is expensive in Oz, how much money you have saved not buying the stinky fags in 5 years??
  5. Wee Teddy just got neutered, pic below today and two months ago when angel got dressed. Guys hold your breath but one of teddy's balls was in his abdomen hence he has to wear the lady jacket lol
  6. Make a Christmas decoration
  7. Hi @Linda sorry to hear you were struggling, but well done you coming here and posting and not picking up a cig! I think when we get through struggles it makes us feel stronger, I hope you are through this little bump in the road and feeling better this week.
  8. 8. Put on a shaving cut

  12. Did my body attack class tonight, it was chocca, always is on a Monday!
  13. Hey everyone, still going strong here. I was thinking this morning, when are these thoughts going to stop, but then i realised these are not new thoughts, these are thoughts you thought all the time as a smoker ie time for a fag. So its not the quitting that is giving me these thoughts, its the habit of smoking! I wonder when I'll stop getting the thoughts though, probably a while yet. Hey i dont think the stop smoking nurse called me last week, i may have got my weeks mixed up but i think she just called me in my first week which was the week before last, not impressed with this service this time round.
  14. How's you smoke free weekend been @SavingMeFromMyself? I was hungover yesterday which undoubtedly made it harder! But I did it, I'm chuffed.
  15. Hey everyone, wow yesterday was a more difficult day quit wise due to a reallllllly bad hangover! That really weakened my resolve and I was fighting away those thoughts. But I did it and I'm back to feeling normal today, hallelujah! We went to the gig and then partied into the small hours at home, my house is an absolute bomb site! So that's the first job today, blitz the house, then go to supermarket, I'm craving a nice home cooked meal.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
