  7. I read it like that too jb, wondered if lml smoked but i dont think she has. My hubby social smokes. And his social smoking incurred my one and only wobble in my quit. But my pals talked me round and got me through a moment of weakness. And they said dont let his smoking jepordise my quit. Which is a message i hold on to, to this day. Just saying it is possible to have a strong quit whilst with a smoker, though obvoiusly its not ideal. As ever, just need to get your head round it. And reaching out to my pals was the difference between keeping my quit and losing it....so reach out if you need to!!!

  13. Hi fluffy sounds good. Sounds like you've stopped the gain in its tracks. And you should be able to bring it down steadily. Ive lost 0.2 kg this week, and lost 0.5kg last week. So hallelujah my weight is finally going in the right direction, albeit slowly. Just little changes for me like not buttering my bread i dunk in my soup. Less booze. Im also weighing myself weekly which i think is motivating!! I knew i was weighing myself this morning so had zero snacks or anything after my dinner last night!!

  20. Hiya sunny, sorry to hear the bad news. But like others im really glad you shared this with us. Ive had many a quit before where i 'secret smoked' and those 'quits' were obviously doomed and did not last long. So being honest is great. Having an honest quit is paramount. Id just chuck your fags and get back on the train! No time like the present. Dont be too hard on yourself, i reckon everyone here has tried and failed in the past. Just learn from it. I know hindsight is a marvellous thing but if you had posted an sos you wouldn't have smoked! Ahhhh! Look forward to seeing you back
  21. 1 hour body combat after work ?
  22. could you not do the classic talk to the hand sign when they piss you off?
  23. Have a glass of wine or two always does the trick for me. Dont try to go to sleep too early. Lavender oil on pillow, i have a spray and it does relax me. Cool bedroom, sleep with window open. Exercise in the evening. Im not a great sleeper but these are the wee things i do to help myself. Im actually sleeping better since i quit as not lighting up fags during the night when i wake up, i just go back to sleep.
  24. i Quibble with my sis (thats putting it mildly)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
