  8. It's wonderful to see everyone here and thanks to all for the warm welcome. What a great crowd!
  9. Big congratulations to you, CA! Four days is huge and you're well on your way now. I got my first case of bronchitis about 9 months before I quit, and I still remember coughing and straining and forcing my lungs to work well enough to get a few hits off a cigarette, which wasn't easy. Then I smoked another and another as it got a little easier, possibly causing permanent damage. You are obviously making a much better choice and you will thank yourself for this forever. Keep up the great work and we will be rooting you on!
  10. Lol, thanks so much to everyone for the very kind congratulations, and special thanks to reciprocity for hauling out the time machine just for me! I'm honored, and I'm also a little backwards so this is probably fitting. To any newbies who may be out there watching -- before I quit I never, ever, ever thought that I could go 3 days without smoking, much less 3 years. But we all can if we really want to.
  11. Yes! It was like being on Gilligan's Island without the Skipper.
  12. Hi gon, so good to see you here, too!
  13. Yaayyy, Pearlie, Jillar, BKP, barry, Joe7, so good to see all of you guys ,and thanks so much for the welcome Martian and reciprocity!!! Joe7, I wonder if we're related since we have the same last name? Reciprocity, I brought along some champagne for starters, will that work?
  14. Congratulations, Lin!
  15. I'm another QSMB graduate looking for a new home. I smoked for about 4 decades before deciding it was time to do or die, and so I quit. I just passed my 3 year anniversary last month on February 24th, and this apparently was such a momentous occasion that it crashed the entire QSMB website. Sorry. It's great to see some familiar faces and some wonderful new ones, and a huge thank you to all the QuitTrain members who have been so welcoming as folks find their way over here..

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
