  5. My heart breaks for you, your wife, and your children, Richard. Thank you for taking the time to come here to remind all of us of the difference between temporary discomfort and cravings, and real unfathomable loss. Please take care of yourself and hold your children tight as that's all that matters right now. We are here for you if and when you choose.

    TEAM DEADPOOL

Sending good thoughts your way and wishing you the very best (and hopefully some sense of relief) as you start Round 2 of this battle tomorrow. I hope you've been able to rest up along with getting some healthful eating and exercise in to put yourself in a good mental and physical place as you continue to plow through all the obstacles. Cheers to you and to winning this battle one day at a time.
  13. Huge congratulations, mightyboosh, on blowing through the first three days, and if you're already chuckling about smoking thoughts you're way ahead of the game. So glad it just "clicked" for you and you knew it was time -- that knowledge and determination will carry you through. Keep up the great work and good humor!

I declare today "recliner day" and prescribe a good book or some bad t.v., along with "breakfast in recliner" cooked by BF the chef, and a couple of dogs at your feet making sure nothing hits the floor. Enjoy a lazy day in your uncluttered house and hopefully the CBD will help get your sleep back on track.

Now you're rocking and rolling. Great choices on the wigs (I particularly love the first one -- straight and elegantly casual with with a hot red highlight). Those will be perfect for whenever you're in the mood, and turbans, scarves, and hats will be fun to play around for everyday looks. Baseball caps are always an option and some of these newsboy caps could be good for a change. https://hatsscarvesandmore.com/collections/newsboy-caps If you can't use paint on the mask, maybe you could do the red area with fabric and black duct tape or even a thin sheet of rubber for the black areas . Or this link shows how to make it out of a red t-shirt. https://www.instructables.com/id/Deadpool-Mask-1/ . He uses spray paint for the black area but you could substitute or have someone else do the spraying (or do the fumes never quite go away even after drying outside?) Have fun with your sister today! Lazing around a river house sounds like a perfect way to spend the day -- don't forget to bring your new PJs.
  16. You did it!!! And you did it with determination and style. Huge congratulations, MLMR, and now it's time to celebrate!
  17. Huge Congratulations to you, BKP, on this incredible achievement (and great photography). You just keep getting better and it's so good to see you making the most of your new smoke-free life.
  18. What a beauty he is, Diane!
  19. Hmmm, I'm going to say #1 is the lie, but I'm guessing the truth is really some mix of #1 and #3, since you're usually a very kind wabbit.
  20. Extremely, weirdly, shameful
  21. #1 is a big fat lie. If I had to try to eat sushi once a week I would be fasting once a week. Love seafood, but cook it please (except maybe a raw oyster here and there), and hold the seaweed. Not a big fan of other fish in general, and raw is not an option. Somehow even the vegetarian sushi tastes like fish oil.

  24. 1. I eat sushi at least once a week. 2. I generally prefer salty over sweet. 3. My apéritif of choice is pastis.
  25. Wait for me!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
