  1. Sending a belated but well-deserved congratulations to you, Mac! Happy 4 on the 4th!
  2. Good thoughts and best wishes to you and your husband, QG. I hope all went well and that he is on the road to recovery.
  3. Congratulations on two years (wow, really?) of your super, solid quit, Denali! You really showed your quit who was the boss very quickly and have been a great support to others all along the way
  4. Belated congrats on your seventh month down!
  5. Congratulations, Kate, on hanging in there and not giving up, and look where you are now! Happy four years, and congratulations on your adorable new addition! My dog is very jealous of Gabriela's squirrel stuffie. What a lucky pup to have found you, and I hope dog#1 is enjoying having a buddy.
  6. Congratulations, QG! The hardest part is behind you and your one-year celebration is on the horizon. Great job!
  7. Yaaay for you, Brioski!!! What an accomplishment!
  8. Thank you, everyone! Thanks, jillar, for posting. I forgot my smoke-free anniversary this year, so I guess that's good news. You really do reach a point where smoking stays firmly in the past with just the occasional thoughts/reminders. For anyone who has recently quit, keep going day by day and you'll be surprised how quickly the days add up and eventually your smoking thoughts start fading into the background. Cheers to all and keep up the great work.
  9. Yaaaay, Hope, and hope all is well with you!!!!
  10. Congratulations and yay for you, Johnny! Almost a decade smoke free and still offering steady support to countless others. What a good fellow you are and much appreciated.
  11. Congratulations on hitting lucky number 7, Gary!!! Unfortunately, that's only one year in dog years, but you'll catch up next year. Seriously, though...you're a non-smoking champ.
  12. Look at you go, Brioski!!! Huge congrats on your huge accomplishment.
  13. Congratulations to the spectacular Doreen and all members of the class of 2013 who have stayed the course and will be celebrating their first smoke-free decade this year!!! I'm a couple of years behind and happy to say I'll never catch up because there's no way any of these folks are turning back. Thanks for showing us that one minute, one hour, one day at a time will eventually add up to the celebration of the decade!!! Now, it's time to party like a penguin!
  14. Huge congratulations to the Jillar Energizer Bunny! You built a rock-solid quit and now just keep going and going -- always helping and encouraging all the folks who stop by looking for that extra motivation to take the smoke-free plunge. Thanks for all you do to help keep the doors open and the lights on in this train.
  15. Fashionably late as usual but huge congratulations to you, Mac!!! Can't believe it's been 3 years already...that went fast (at least for me.) Celebrate like the champ you are!
  16. So proud of you, Brioski! You fought through it all and won,and there's no stopping you now. Congratulations on one month down, and yes, February counts as a full month (take any advantage you can find and run with it.)
  17. Yaaay for you, Gus!!!! We're all excited to celebrate the big 2! Congratulations on 2 years smoke-free, and what a kind, supportive mentor to all you've been ever since you arrived!
  18. Yay for Boo! It's a full seven years for you and congratulations are certainly due from us all and, of course, me too!!! (Some early morning fine poetry to start your day for you?)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
