  4. Hello, my name is Melody but every one calls me Mel. I'm married (13 yrs) and have a 11 year old son and a 4 year old son. I started smoking around age 17 though I tried a few cigarettes here and there prior to 17. They made me sick so I rarely got past one before thinking how gros they were. Not sure why I just didn't follow my initial instincts. I smoked for about 17 years, 15 a day average. I tried to quit over the years and successfully did while pregnant but it never stuck. I smoked my last smoke November 16th, at 10pm, right before bed. I had no intention of quitting the following day, I just woke up and said I didn't want to smoke anymore and went with it. Recovering from bronchitis was helpful but I was 5 days into treatment and feeling good. The rest is history. It's almost 5 months later, 20 fluctuating lbs heavier and feeling better than I have in years. Never again will I smoke. I am an addict to nicotine.
  5. I always think of fishing with your name, I know your the music man, the bass man, I just can't help it! Being raised around fishermen is what did it. So happy to see you :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
