  2. Your doing a great job hun!! Keep it up!! Your on to day two, you can get through anything!! I never could use the patches, even the lowest ones caused me to get sick and dizzy, although the last time I used them was when I was a teenager and my grandma bought them for me to quit smoking ;). Wish I knew then what I knew now!
  3. ((((Mrs Bakon))))

  6. Im so very sorry :( Big hugs your way!!
  7. Thank you everyone!! One more month and I'm half a year, I'm getting excited! I'm so grateful to have had my friends to travel this journey with!
  8. It's patio weather time and last night was my first experience hanging outside with the neighbors, having drinks and hanging around a few smokers. This was also the first time I have been around my husband smoking since I quit (he is true social smoker who can smoke for a night and then stop for days, weeks or months). It realy wasn't a big deal, no major craves and being outside I wasn't assaulted with the smell. I've been worried about this for a while now, leaving my bubble that winter provided. I knew i wouldn't smoke, that i can control, I was worried about the craves and urges that might arise and they didnt. Feels good to check this milestone off the list of newbie experiences! Today should be good, I'm gonna start planting and cleaning up my pots for the flowers and another bbq later on. Love spring time!
  9. Action I am sooooo proud of you. You are a non smoker now of 6 glorious months. In that time you have been a ROCK to so many other people, your truly one of the most selfless and giving people I have ever met. I wish I could give you a hug and celebrate with a beer...to bad the big pons separates that :( Love you, love your heart, congratulations and boy am I ever proud of you!!! Young pharte looks good on you :)
  10. You did wonderful :) Your in this to the end! I had a similar experience a week or so in my quit. Went to let the dog out at night and there sat my husband's cigs with a lighter right on top. It was dark, I was alone....that moment made me stronger. Five months later and I can pick the hubbies cigs up and put them away and not care. I think it's something about facing your fears, concuring them head on and moving on :)
  11. I've got some, when I get on the lap top later I'll post them :)

  13. Nice post and perfect to start my day on. I've been looking back a lot recently at the first weeks of quitting and honestly it does not rank any where near some of the hardest things in life I've done or been through. Sure it was difficult at first but nothing like I thought it would be. Once you know you know and smoking is just not on the table any more. Good for you, so proud of you!!!
  14. Im glad to hear your eyes are healing and getting better. You'll be back at full speed before you know it :)
  15. haha!!
  16. I need to start rewarding myself on a daily basis :) Im actually trying to hold out, my big reward is my sisters wedding in Vegas and awesome boots for Alaska wear. I have found I spend more money on food for myself that is healthy and different.
  17. Amy your doing an amazing job, keep it up hun!! It can be hard in the beginning but soon you will be looking back thinking that quitting was not as crazy as nicotine would have you believe. One day at a time and deep breaths when you need them, this too shall pass.
  18. Awesome job Petra!! So proud of you, well done!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
