Amy you can do this, I know you can. You just have to say that you will not smoke today. And for goodness sake, do not buy a pack!!! Keep saying no, scream it if you have to, but do not buy any smokes. I replaced smoking with eating for a while and there is nothing wrong with that. Take deep breathes, take a nap, take a walk, read on the boards, just do not smoke. If fear is a motivation read below...if your squeamish, don't. My grandfathers sister ended up with lung cancer from long time use of smoking. Her and her husband were heavy smokers, over a pack a day and smoked in the house, cars...anywhere. She died. The cancer didn't take her, she fell down the stairs and her lungs collapsed. She suffocated before the ambulance arrived. Life as a non smoker is so much better than a smoker. There is a little discomfort getting there but you CAN get there. Dont give up, stay strong and keep fighting.

I got my first migraine when I was like 10 years old and it runs in the family, Im not sure I will ever get rid of them totally. I also get the aura...booo. To have them reduced in frequency though truly has been so amazing. By everyones responses it definitely does seem like there is a correlation.

I am five in a half months into my quit and I have only had two migraines. That is amazing! I usually have one or two a month and to go from that to two in six months is something short of a miracle. This is just another perk to my quit smoking lifestyle! Ya!! If you are still a smoker and reading this, quitting is soooo worth it! It takes some work, and is hard at times, but the payoff is so much better.

Im so sorry I wasn't there during this stressful time, I must have missed a bit while I was gone! Glad to hear all is well though and that you are healthy!! That is great news!!

I have done NOTHING all week. Today I went to the movies with my boys and ate popcorn, drank slushies and had McDonalds for lunch. On a side note I have not eaten MCD's in months and it is horrible, lol! I need to get back on it but Im going to wait till our spring break is over. Hope this week doesn't undo all that I have done.
