Well done on beating those thoughts. It's really tiring constantly battling so you did really well x
  4. How did your Day 1 go @freeatlast
  5. I suppose the reality of life is that millions of people still smoke. I think by removing smoking/drinking/drugs it would also remove that reality of life. We are quitters so we view that scene differently to a lot of other people. Never smokers and smokers probably never even viewed it the way you did - in fact they probably never thought about it at all. I once blew a quit because someone was smoking in a programme. How pathetic is that lol. Hope things are ok with you. Sounds like a perfect evening to me. Only thing I would add is some cheese and onion crisps
  6. Wow Reci - that boy was a hero. So glad he was there. 1 - I did a sky dive last year 2 - everyone on this forum will probably have seen my son regularly on TV 3 - I attend protests about fox hunting regularly
  7. Not sure why that's funny lol
  8. This made me cry with laughter. That is EXACTLY how I've walked around the last two months lol.
  9. Well done dizzy. Hope you celebrate your two months quit today.
  10. I definitely don't think you would say saurkraut I think you would say slaw. I say 3
  11. Not today
  12. *wonders how to let him down gently*
  13. @freeatlast if I used to quit while working I would say I can't do this - it's just too stressful at work. If I used to quit while not working I'd say I can't do this as all I want to do is lie in bed so I don't smoke and then I'm too bored. You could have those two days and then on Wednesday be saying i'm restarting my quit as I had a big row with my friend last night and I'm too early in my quit to cope with that stress. You must do what is comfortable for you but just keep in mind the smoker in you will always be looking for that "excuse.".
  14. I already had the first month (a train obviously) and ordered the second one which is a rectangle inscribed with "the importance of an SOS." I don't want to jinx anything so am waiting until around month 4 to do a photo x
  15. You start one Reci
  16. Great going. You've done so well x

My snniversary thread is not important - all that matters is you're ok. I was just worried you weren't well x x
  18. Not today - no siree
  19. You waited a lot longer than this last time so remind yourself it will be a long wait again. Good Luck with your results.
  20. Welcome to the forum. You sound like you are ready to take this on 100% so wishing you a great first day. Shout if you need any help.

    Hope so Jillar.
  22. Thanks everyone. I do love all the congratulations - it gives me a big boost. Dinner was amazing and now onwards to month 3 x
  23. You are going to do great and I hope you get your results soon
  24. Awww thanks Jillar for doing me an anniversary thread. Thank you for your lovely congratulations everyone. I don't know how I've got here but I have. I think about smoking a lot but I've never once had a puff. I'm really grateful to everyone who helped me when I did my SOS because that's the closest I've come to throwing it all away. I'm so glad I've got this forum. When the thoughts keep coming I post on here and it passes. I'm going out tonight to eat with all my family as they are so proud of me. I wanted to wait until 3 months but here I am trying in my thirteenth outfit. No doubt I'll end up wearing the first one I tried. Thank you everyone - I wouldn't have got here if it wasn't for all the support and encouragement from you all x
