  3. Don't know how I missed this. Sorry I'm late but congratulations to you. Thank you for all your help X
  4. Just be careful with what else is shown doing it that way @Cbdave You can see other photos underneath
  5. I don't think that's too far from the truth Doreen. As you know I recently had pneumonia and I googled it looking for ways to speed up my recovery. I read an article that said e-cig vapour adds moisture to your lungs and can exacerbate pneumonia. As you say we aren't medical professionals but I can't help but agree that there is a strong possibility that there's a link. Hope you are ok and sending you strength and a big hug
  6. Allen Carr finally stopped smoking on 15 July 1983, aged 48, after a visit to a hypnotherapist. However, it wasn't the hypnotherapy itself that enabled him to stop – "I succeeded in spite of and not because of that visit" and "I lit up the moment I left the clinic and made my way home...".

Ha ha ha maybe not music with a flip phone With mine I paired my phone with the car. Then whenever I'm in it it has all my numbers stored on the car. If someone calls me while I'm driving I just press the green button on my radio bit and I've answered the call. Then you just speak like normal and that's it - you're hands free Edited to say I practiced first by sitting on the drive and getting someone to call me from the house. I had to turn the key in the ignition to get everything to light up on the dash and turn on the radio but didn't start the engine. You'll love it once you've practiced and get familiar with it x

@jillar it means that once they are paired you can take calls without using your phone. So when you next get in car get hubby to call you and there will be an answer button on or near your radio. Sometimes it's a red/green button and sometimes a phone handset on or off. Only downside it's loud speaker so everyone in the car hears the call. You can also play music from your phone through the speakers. There's a few other things you can do too
  17. It's not the act of smoking it's everything that goes with a cigarette. It's hard to explain but for me it's not the nicotine - it's probably the 6000 other chemicals they put in them. Either way we are beating this addiction and that's all that really matters. So true Jo x
  18. For me it's about smoking and not about nicotine. I don't crave nicotine I crave cigarettes. If quitting was just about getting off nicotine I would have 3 days of discomfort and get on with my life. It's the actual act of smoking I crave. I believe that's why NRT doesn't work for everyone and they go back to smoking. If all they had given up was nicotine their fix should be enough. Yes I want to be nicotine free but that's the least of my problems. Too much focus is put on the nicotine and not enough on the habit.
  19. Oh. Thanks Jillar. I have never heard of it before
  20. @Steveo1 how are you doing. If you are flying through that's great. If you are struggling or haven't got your quit off the ground don't disappear. Whatever you need just ask. If you want tips, advice on how to get through the first few days etc people here can help. If you're quit you will benefit from the cheers, if you aren't then you will benefit from just hanging around here. It's a win win
  21. I'm so gullible. I didn't think it was real but thought I'd ask. I feel like a right peanut head
  22. I am so pleased you saw your Dr and My Minister and that your Minister helped you. Hope you're doing ok x
  23. Not going to smoke but only for today.
  24. Ankush that's amazing you fought off that crave. Well done If you want to post and SOS then do it. Living your quit by someone else's experience isn't necessary. This is your quit so do what is comfortable and necessary for you.
  25. Is Soddy Daisy a real place?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
