    commitment

I wish I could come to this point, but I don't feel I've made a commitment with myself to quit smoking forever. @christine 12, you don't have to make a commitment to yourself to quit smoking forever. Just make a commitment to quit smoking today. Then do the same thing tomorrow and the next day, etc. You'll be amazed at how quickly the time adds up once you do the time. And I'll let you in on a little secret, the younger you are when you quit it seems the easier it is to bounce back from all the crap smoking did. Don't wait until you have breathing issues like me or something even worse!
  13. You go girl, you got this!
  14. If there is a pond full of algae, yes Is a fence meant to keep us out or to keep mother nature in?
  15. Hi Christine what Jim and reciprocity said is absolutely true! Unfortunately if you let yourself think the worst is over at three days you may end up disappointed. The first month is by far the hardest but it is doable! Just stick close, post your feelings and especially an SOS if you feel close to caving to a crave. We call the first week hell week, by far the hardest week. The second is heck week, a little bit easier but then the third week, WTF week comes on and it's a pretty tough one. Once through it though you never have to deal with it again. How cool is that?!
  16. Is it this one @notsmokinjo?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
