  5. Yay kt, one short month away from being an old pharte! Congratulations
  6. Hi christa, I hated the constant thoughts too ? What helped me was keeping my mind busy with other things. If I was busy helping someone else by posting or celebrating milestones, playing games and socializing I found it took my mind off my misery. Some of the games are really good for that. Or check out the socializing sections, lots of good stuff there too. And some days if none of that worked said the hell with it and just went to bed hoping tomorrow would be just a little better. You're doing great btw
  7. Orange juice stains on website's nonexistent cream carpet
  8. Sorry you relapsed @blur. Most of us have had failed quits or been so gungho only to have nicotine (temporarily) win us back. Stop smoking where you usually do, keep telling yourself that it's time to quit and that you're over it. Think of all the positives quitting will do for you. You can do it, we are all proof. You just need to believe in yourself
  9. Congratulations Robert, you're doing GREAT!

  20. Good for you blur, today is a great day to quit
  21. I agree, that really is amazing jo
  22. Hi Linda, good to see you You so got this girl!
  23. Welcome blur, when I decided it was time to quit I stopped smoking in my usual places so that I wouldn't associate them with smoking when I was in that area. I also told myself repeatedly that all (good?) things must come to an end. I have outgrown cigarettes just like many other things we outgrow. I joined my first forum at three weeks quit also and I'm convinced that this is the reason I've succeeded. Posting, supporting, celebrating milestones and socializing really helped keep my mind off my misery and I met great people from all over the world No one knows better than us what we go through when quitting this nasty habit so stay close and maybe even consider taking the one year pledge, and let's get you quit
  24. Great costumes jo

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
