  8. Hi Pumpkin, please don't worry about letting us down. Quitting is tough but I found that being active with a support community really helped me keep my eye on the prize. There will never be an ideal time to quit if nicotine has its way. It will use any excuse to suck you back in. We all have struggles but have found it in ourselves to stay the course and quit this terrible addiction. You can too! Stay close, and reach out any and every time you feel like you want to cave to a crave and we will try our best to get you through it. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
  9. Yay dragonsFancy, congratulations on two weeks free! Youre now half way through the hardest month of all
  10. We love our Ugg boots here and I'm thinking after hiking all day Uggs would be pretty comfy for the feet and warm since our nights are pretty chilly this time of year. Wimbledon because how the heck are you going to get it here?
  11. A virtual hug coming your way Linda, I hope you enjoy your week free of them. I guess they are proof that money doesn't buy happiness. FYI, you can always leave them at the casino lol
  12. Congratulations on six years Cristobal, your posts have been so inspirational to so many on both quittrain and qsmb. And being fairly new here it's been my pleasure getting to know you better. I hope you celebrate today and looking forward to attending one of your famous wine parties I keep hearing about

    Setback

Welcome Mel and congratulations on deciding to take back your life. Don't let the addiction trick you into thinking you smoked because of loneliness. It will use any excuse it can to get that nicotine back into your body. Luckily you found us You can't be lonely here because we have lots of stuff to do be it reading about addiction or playing games in the social section. And those are just a couple. Plus like jo said, you will meet people from all over the world who are just as invested in your quit as you are. So I'm sorry you caved to your crave and looking forward to taking your journey to freedom with you
  21. MLMR, please never feel bad about using this part of the board no matter if you're one day quit or one year quit. I remember being almost 6 months quit and needing extra support. No one judged me then and no one will judge anyone else smart enough to say "hey guys, I need a little support right now". The constant thoughts of smoking are so normal in the early months and also so frustrating you want to scream GO AWAY. But then one morning you wake up and go about your day until at some point you realise that you haven't thought about smoking in x amount of hours. It's a great feeling and you too will see it soon Glad you got past that huge crave MLMR, be super proud of yourself
  22. Yes, that's confused. Not about your post but about that wacky weather you're having! We have a chance of thunderstorms at 5:00pm AND 6:00pm lol. But it is muggy enough that it would be cool, haven't heard thunder and lightning since the one hour last year we got it lol

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
