  9. @reciprocity and @mightyboosh since my ticker is working but your tickers aren't I decided to do a little experiment last night and created a second ticker as a test ticker. What I found was the ticker that i copied the code and pasted in my signature did not update. So I then created another one and instead of copying the code I copied the actual ticker and pasted that in my signature and it updates. So I would suggest deleting your current ticker from your sig and then making a new one by copying and pasting the actual ticker
  10. A slight of hand trick
  11. Earning righteous salary
  12. @mightyboosh, I stay signed in and also anonymous and my ticker works so I would redo yours with the dollar or Euro sign like reciprocity recommended. Glad your taste buds are in full bloom, that was one of the first positive things I noticed

  17. Hi Roark, welcome aboard our train of quitters Congratulations on 38 days quit, that's awesome! I had those constant all day craves that drive me crazy too What I used was my handy, dandy JAC (jillars air cigarette). I just pretended I was holding a cigarette in my fingers and then went through the motions of 'smoking' it. I looked like an idiot lol but boy it sure worked at tricking my mind into thinking it was getting the real thing. Plus they deep clean breathing doing it felt great I also took advantage of all the various forums from socializing, celebrating, playing games, etc to keep my mind distracted so be sure to check them out

  22. @Lilly, post a hello thread on the main board and I'm sure you'll get a bunch of replies. A lot of us don't look on the celebrations thread other than to congratulate someone so don't take it personal. You ARE missed and I know everyone would agree that we're really happy to hear from you
  23. Yes, it does Phil lol. And yes, the habit is much harder to overcome than the actual addiction in my opinion. There's just so many times over the course of so many years that it was 'time for cigarette'. That's why we have the one year commitment. It's a pledge to yourself that you will stay on the board for one full year minimum to get you past most of the triggers you'll face on a regular basis. I took it and many, many others have to. It's pinned to the top of the main forum if you want to check it out
  24. Ordered egg salad

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
