  16. Great decision Gene, and in only three days most the nicotine will be out of your system
  17. Yes warrior, you may very well be cranky and ready to quarrel but just tell your co-workers that you've quit and to hear with you for a while. Most people will be so happy that you're making this change that they will have no problem accommodating you. Also stock up on candies to suck on. If even lollipops. Can't smoke and suck on candy at the same time
  18. Welcome warrior, you've come to the right place for help. I'm convinced I wouldn't have succeeded if not for the support of a community of fellow quitters. you can quit for good, we're all proof of that. Read about our addiction, stick close and you too will succeed. The best clue I got when bad craves bit was using my air cigarette. I just pretended I was holding an actual cigarette in my fingers then went through the motions of 'smoking' it. It worked great at tricking my mind into thinking it was getting the real thing.

  23. I beg to differ, the cravings totally existed for me. For me the stress was brought on by the craving. If I hadn't of been craving I wouldn't have been stressed. This sentence completely contradicts what the author is trying to say that cravings don't exist. Furthermore, if you didn't crave nicotine you wouldn't still be using NRT's three years after quitting. This is only my opinion and you know what they say about opinions...…..
  24. Congratulations on your new job pumpkin, good things are happening for you for sure!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
