  13. Hey you awesome 2020 quitters, how's your quit going? And how are you 2019'ers doing with your quits?
  14. that would be nice, I'm afraid that we might not hear from him at all after this though... It was almost six years that him and I didn't talk before my mom died and it's only been through text since. He has no idea that I was in ICU because I was afraid if he knew that his wife would put some voodoo curse on me lol
  15. Yea, sadly he is. I've told him many times that I'm just grateful for what we inherited, hoping he would feel the same but he's so dang money hungry, grrrr. Plus, my mom left each grandchild money that was taken out of that person's inheritance before they got their checks so since I don't have kids nothing came out of mine and he has two kids lol. He hated that part lol.
  16. Thanks @Sazerac, it's a HUGE relief!!
  17. It's official, after only 33 days on the market and a thirty day close we've sold my mom's house! Huge relief and burden off my shoulders as executor of the trust. It was so hard dealing with a brother who wouldn't communicate with us and totally thought we were shorting him on his inheritance. All he cared about throughout this process was the money which was really sad.... Add to that these medical issues and it was overwhelming at times. Doing happy dance!!!

    crazy ticker

Now put that ticker in your signature Jimmy
  19. Get rid of them angeleek, you don't smoke anymore! And your brother certainly doesn't need them either! That being said, I have known a few quitters who kept some cigs after they quit but not for the reasons you said. They kept theirs as a type of mind over matter. They quit smoking and it didn't matter that there were cigarettes in the house. You on the other hand are keeping them in case you decide to "light one up" which is a dangerous mindset this early in your quit so yes, soak them and then throw them away.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
