    Ugh madturtle, I do remember being where you are. I promise you it gets so much better. I had a hard first few months so I know! You're right, you do not want to go back to square one and have to go through the misery all over again. I'm glad the SOS threads help. Please post your own if you feel yourself caving to a crave and we'll do everything we can to help you past it. You really are doing great

  10. The first week is the hardest @Linda that's why we call it hell week! But it's well worth the misery to be free

  14. You are still here darcy, and that's a clear sign that you want this. Don't sabotage it by a few bad days. We've all had them, even never smokers have days on end that are bad and never think hmmm maybe I should take up smoking. I promise you, just hang in there because it gets so much better with time quit.

And if you want to "smoke" along with your guests while keeping that awesome quit might I suggest the wonderful tasting JAC, it's 100% pure wonderful oxygen, just pretend you're holding an actual cigarette in your fingers and then literally go through the motions of "smoking" it. It worked so good at tricking my mind into thinking it was getting the real thing so maybe it will do the same for you too?
  18. Darcy, you are bigger than any crave! You are the boss, just think how awful its going to be to have to start ALL THE WAY BACK to day 1! You have four fabulous smoke free months and I bet any amount of money that your guests would love to be where you are now. You posted your SOS for a reason, because you don't want to lose this quit! Fight for it because you are worth it...

  21. The good thing about NRT's Linda is that you can stop using them at any time so if you're thinking it's not right then try cold turkey again or another nrt. I will tell you that there is not one nrt on the planet that will relieve all the symptoms of quitting. So if you're looking for an easy way out there just isn't one. Except maybe for your state of mind. Have faith in yourself that you can do it. We all did and you can too. Read the thread Johnny (above) posted for you. Check out all the pinned threads in each forum. They all contain info to help you get your quit

  23. That's crazy that your vet would recommend egg shells or chicken bones @notsmokinjo, egg shells can be sharp going in and coming out and i would be scared to give any of my animals those. But then again I don't give either pet people food.

  25. Welcome aboard our train full of quitters Linda. Sorry about your relapse, hopefully now that you've found us we can help you get your forever quit. We have a lot to do here from educating yourself about our addiction to socializing to get your mind off the misery for a while so be sure to check out all our various forums. We also have quite a few members who used the patches to quit. Just make sure you're using them correctly. Nicotine takes about three days to leave your system so at five days quit you already had the nicotine out of your system. The relapse was your brain throwing a tantrum to get what it wanted, nicotine!
