  3. Glad your mom's Dr was able to work her in. You're all in my thoughts. Please make sure your dad asks about an UTI. Signs of a UTI in seniors: Confusion, any change in mental status Agitation or restlessness Hallucinations Behavior changes Falling or unsteady gait Problems with motor skills Dizziness Facial grimaces A startling number of times, dementia is blamed for these symptoms by healthcare workers instead of connecting these symptoms with a UTI. Therefore, treatment can be slow to start. https://seniorcarecorner.com/a-common-but-dangerous-infection-in-seniors#:~:text=Signs of a UTI in seniors%3A 1 Confusion%2C,with motor skills 7 Dizziness 8 Facial grimaces

Don't be hard on yourself @Linda, we all have those days whether we've just quit or been quit for years. I snapped at my sister today 😞 Like IQ4me said, our real friends and family won't hold it against us. You just keep moving forward, you're doing great 🤗
  8. @Boo, Doreen is right, A UTI could definitely cause the hallucinations in older folks and its a simple urine test, you can even get the test OTC now but I don't know how reliable those ones are. My grandma had dementia, she saw my dead uncles but she was well into her disease by then. I also have an aunt with it. She doesn't seem to be hallucinating but she's in the early stages still. I would for sure even go today to get tested for the UTI. They can get very bad, very fast. It did with my mom on several occasions. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and hope its that and not Dementia ((hugs))
  9. Well it's about time you checked in @BKP! Glad to hear from you

  16. @Mee, totally excited. We got hail the other day and we may get some more in the next couple of days 😊
  17. Waiting for a big storm coming in. 4-6" of rain expected! 😊
  18. Thanks @Doreensfree, I am, just wish it would frucking scab up already. You'd have thought I cut my damn finger off 😂
  19. Yay DogBelly, that's fantastic! Congratulations 😊
  20. Hi again @Hollyleaf, many of us suffered insomnia when we first quit. I used an OTC sleep aid a couple times a week and I found just taking one pill before bedtime was enough to take the edge off so I could sleep. It won't last forever but unfortunately just another annoying recovery symptom we have to go through to get to the other side, xoxo
  21. WTF, my cat jumps over my head last night and knicks my hand with her back nail and I wake up to a bloody mess. Its a tiny ******* scratch! Blood on my pillow, the sheet, all over my hand, my neck(?) Tried pulling my sweatshirt over it and that's full of blood. And I can't put a ******* bandaid on because it'll rip my skin off when I take it off. Sprayed Nu Skin on it three times already and that shit don't work either, grrrrrr 😤
  22. Hey @Hollyleaf, the first few days/weeks/months may be tough but unfortunately we have to go through them to get past them. Handy in there, throw out any cigarettes you have. You can do this 😊
  23. 5. I used one to outline the shape of my pond
