    Help!

Have you tried the JAC (Jillar's air cigarette)? You just pretend you're holding an actual cigarette in your fingers and then go through the motions of "smoking" it. Some people use cut straws, pen shells, even licorice! It did a great job of tricking my brain into thinking it was getting the real thing and the crave would pass.

    Help!

Oh no Judi, don't go. You'll get the hang of it.
  7. That's true, have you encountered one yet?
  8. How about it @Linda, @JH63, @Judi, @Steven Drojensky, want to NOPE just for Friday with me
  9. I hope you feel better tomorrow
  10. He was just stating a fact Linda, he wasn't saying not to post. We want you to post about your struggles so that we can help you past them. Its easy to take things wrong this early in your quit but I assure you BKP meant nothing offensive about his post so please try not to take it that way
  11. We always say take what you want and leave the rest. Everyone here is here to support each other, some with more tougher love than others. Hopefully soon you'll be able to start seeing some benefits of quitting. In the mean time we do have an ignore feature if you don't want to see someone's posts
  12. Yea I know. That's why we try to help you see the positives. Especially in the early quit because I also just saw all the negative and was pissy because other people "could" smoke and I couldn't. And I also took posts to me wrong. I remember telling one guy, who later became good friends, not to post on my threads anymore and I wouldn't post on his lol.
  13. Oh Linda, you're taking our posts all wrong. Of course this is a safe place to share your struggles. We're just trying to help you see the positives too. Please don't take it the wrong way
  14. @Linda, I agree that if you only focus on the negatives in life then you miss out on all the positives And we can all attest to the fact that its easy to got caught up in the misery of those first days/weeks/months. But I tell you from being here for four years that the people who embraced the suck had a wayyyyyyyyy easier quit then those of us who didn't......
  15. @Linda, one more thing-smoking won't make your day any better AND if you pride yourself on keeping your word like I do then you can't smoke today because you NOPED!
  16. You're just having a bad day Linda, don't lose a month long quit because of one bad day! You REALLY need to trust us when we tell you it will be better, so much better soon enough.....
  17. @Linda, you have the hardest month of all done. If you give in now you will be back at square one and have to do those horrible weeks all over again! Why would you keep doing that to yourself?!
  18. I would think so unless you get a mean call from a disgruntled customer?
  19. I'm sorry you feel you need to back away @Linda, especially during these first few months quit. I hope that you will come back on if you're feeling like you may cave to a crave. Take care and I wish you the best
  20. Congratulations @IQ4me on 11 months quit! And thank you for all the support you give Just one short month away from your first year quit is HUGE so I hope you celebrate today

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
