  3. Welcome aboard Janice, Congratulations on deciding to quit. We have a great group from all over the world here and in all different stages of quitting so you'll have people quitting right along side you as well as us old phartes cheering you on. And the 2021 quitters are a great group to be a part of We also have fun Social forums for those times you want to get smoking off your mind but stay close to your support board. So be sure to check everything out.
  4. Hi @Dianne, I'm glad you're already seeing some of the many benefits of quitting. Glad you're already getting some good days, that's awesome The steroids can cause anxiety too and they stay in your system about ten days after your last one so hopefully you'll start having less anxiety. But it's also normal in these early days of your quit. I found sucking on sweets helped me. I was hooked on soft peppermint puffs for an entire year lol. Anyway, you're doing great and should be super proud of yourself

  14. @Linda, have you tried just giving yourself a break? You don't need to take on the weight of the world right now so be kind to yourself. We smoked for a lot of years so being 3 months quit or almost five years quit like me is really just a drop in the bucket in comparison to how long we smoked. Life sucks for a lot of us right now but I know that smoking will only make things worse. Not only will life still suck but I will also have to feed my addiction all over again, NO THANKS! So, be kind to yourself, take a long hot bath, go give some love at your local animal shelter or phone someone who makes you happy. Or if you want, just have a bad mood day! That's ok too. Just remember that smoking won't change a darn thing, xoxo

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
