@Linda, they are trying to get her to eat on her own but she's refused so far. They'll try throughout the day, run more tests around 4:00pm and will call an hour or two later with their recommendations and if she can come home 😞 Thank you for asking.....

Yep, you have to be ready. I make sure to tell everyone about our site whenever the opportunity presents itself but its up to them to make that decision. We've had 9 new members sign up in the last month which I think is pretty darn good😊 I also remember lurking as a guest my first few weeks quit before signing up so there's just no telling how many people are getting help here but don't want to register for one reason or another. And that's ok too😊

Unfortunately because of her pancreatitis she'll be on a strict low fat prescription diet. But yes, she'll be home and she won't have to die alone with people she doesn't know. When the time comes the mobile vet will come to the house and I'll be able to stroke her over the rainbow bridge 😢😢😢

Vet just called, Cookie's kidneys showed an improvement but not like he'd hoped to see with all the treatment she's getting. She'll stay another 24 hours and they'll run the tests again and try getting her to eat solid food (she has a feeding tube in). He's hoping she'll be able to come home tomorrow evening but said he didn't think she had much more time left once she's home 😢

@Sparkles, I saw you had your new one in your About Me instead of your signature. That was what the problem was. I moved it to your signature. 😊

Still waiting to hear from the vet. They had an emergency come in so he was unable to talk but will call later 😢

@Linda, not too good. Called and checked on Cookie and the news wasn't good. Her last urine test a coupe weeks ago showed borderline kidney disease and her numbers went significantly higher since then. They're going to recheck here urine levels tomorrow after they get electrolytes into her and see if they come down and if they haven't gone down then he thinks it may be best to let her go...😢

@JustSomeGuy, I stuck close to home my whole first month or two. We got to do what we got to do and you're smart to get some time under your belt before going riding since that may cause pretty good craves your first time doing it quit. So I think you made a great decision 😊

Cookie got admitted for a few days. They'll give her fluids and a feeding tube among other things and take some ultrasounds to check her organs. At 15 its a hard decision to make to try to save her or let her go but she's been so healthy her whole life up until now that I have to try....😢

My beautiful Cookie is at pet ER. Hopefully they can get her feeling better. Its curbside drop off so he can't even go in there with her 😢
