  7. @Sal, how are you doing today? Hopefully you didn't cave to a crave because honestly four hours is a drop in the bucket compared to forever. You REALLY have to decide that you have to quit! It's going to suck, there will be tough days but there will also be easier days and with each crave you get past it WILL get weaker. Did you try the air cigarette? What things do you do where you don't smoke? Do those! Keep your oxygen on 24/7, you can't smoke on oxygen!! AND if your wife is willing, ask her to not bring cigarettes home. I know that I would not be able to be in a house knowing there were cigarettes there when I was newly quit.

  17. 7. Picture ornaments @Linda, you put your tree skirt on your tree?! It must be a Michigan thing because we put them under the tree

  20. @Cbdave, have you tried posting one of your existing attachments to see if it will post?
  21. @Sal, I also have COPD and am on oxygen and anxiety is pretty normal with it. I have Hydroxyzine I use. It's non habit forming and works really well definitely couldn't imagine smoking pot since my lungs failed in 2020. As far as the cost of edibles go a ten pack is about $20.00 and lasts ten days because the high from eating just one lasts for several hours. Please try the clues you've been given because continuing to smoke when you're already on oxygen will just keep damaging your lungs....
  22. @Sal I'm in California where it's legal and I use edibles and like them way better than smoking it. The high lasts way longer
  23. @intoxicated yoda we've had worse lol. I was pretty whiney myself my first few months quit. Sadly those posts got lost when the forum I was on back then imploded. @Sal if you're really serious about quitting then maybe tell your wife not to give in to you. Or if she's serious about quitting to then ask her to go ahead and quit with you. That way there's no cigarettes in the house.
  24. @Sal, unfortunately you're going to have to put on your big boy pants and power through the craves. I promise you that each time you do that it will get just a little bit easier. But the only way past them is to go through them. I used an air cigarette to get past my bad cravings. I would pretend I was holding an actual cigarette and then go through the motions of "smoking" it. And it worked great at tricking my mind into thinking it was getting the real thing. Some use cut straws, pens ir even licorice for their air cigarette. Maybe give that a try?
  25. 7. Subway sandwich no @Kris we're talking about what's for lunch lol. And kippered snacks are smoked herring and delicious And super good hang over food lol

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
